I had long painful periods since I was 11 that got worse as a teenager. I've been on birthcontrol since I was 14 (3mth.period)
Until just recently I really didn't know anything about endo. About a yr.and1/2 ago I started having severe pelvic and abdoinal pain and had test after test. They kept saying everything looks normal... the only thing they told me was I had IBS and constipation.first they acted like I could just take a laxative and everything would be ok, yeah right. then I was put on zelnorm& protonix and sent to a Gyn. who did ultrasounds, found a cyst on right side b/w 2&3 cm, changed birthcontrol to levlin from trilevlen. The cyst went away after 2 mths. but the pain only got worse.the zelnorm isn't doing much either. I had my 1st Lap last month. They found endo, which I expected, lazered it & said they think they got it all but there was scaretissue on my liver that they couldn't remove.1doc said there could be endo under there &I would be put on med. when my biopsies came back & I needed a new pap because of abnomalities on my last one. At my checkup,w/ a diff. doc, I got niether of theese. Although the daily pain has decreased in severety & isn't constant, its not gone and sex is still quite painful& ofcorse the side(near liver) still hurts alot. my anxiety & depression have been bad lately. Also,my breast have been hurting alot for several mths. Does this happen to yall? why? will u all write bak& tellme about the medicines you've been given: what works/doesn't... what is lupron? side effects? other tips on coping...

I seem to be a mild case to.  Fornutately birth control has helped manage my pain.  Presently not taking anything other than anti-inflam for pain.  I got the IBS diagnosis right away and no one paid attention to my pain until I started ttc for over a year and had a possible ectopic preg show up on my ultrasound.
I too did not know much about endo even after my diagnosis.  Recently I found this website and have found peace.  Come and share and no one gets tired of your vents, in fact the response ease your mind and body.  My family and friends could not relate and probably thought all my complaining was crazy.
Depression seems to come in spurts and the holiday season brings in a heavy dose.
Odd that you say your breast have been hurting, I actually thought I was preg b/c of the pain.
Feel free to contact me by email, [email protected]
I get on here late and always look for someone to chat with.  Only once was I lucky enough to catch angel.  She is great to talk with.

Hi Sandi,
When I read your story, I was taken back in time.
I had Lupron shots for a year and it helps tremendously. the pain was completely gone overnight. I was in a severe depression because I had no life and I couldn't bear the pain. I was living on pain killers.
So Lupron helped, but the side effets are quite big: no matter how carefully I watched my diet, I put on 20 pounds. My breasts got smaller, I had hot flashes constantly, night sweats and insomnia for 3 months. A chinese acupuncturist helped me tremendously with the hot flashes and the insomnia.
But at least the pain was gone.
But when I stopped the Lupron, the pain slowly came back.
Endo started when I was 15. I'm 30 now. Doctors wanted to remove my uterus... the whole bit...
My life has been pretty normal for 2 years thans to 2 things: I quit eating sugar COMPLETELY (saccharose, not honey or fructose) and I am followed by a natural doctor. I take Onagre oil capsules year round and my life has completely changed.
I've seen countless doctors, great renowned specialists... nothing worked.
Look at teh message i've posted in the "Endo stories" board and write to me if you want to know more.
good luck and take care.
