They actually managed to get him in to see the neuro surgeon today, so we don't have to go back tomorrow. Phew.
It went ok. Sedating a 12 lbs baby is never fun. I mean, it's just not. And his blood pressure was bottoming out, which was scary. But he came through fine, and refuses to go to bed now!
The results aren't clear. He HAS fluid in his brain and he HAS a lot of other symptoms, but they could all be from other things, and unrelated OR he could need surgery to shunt the fluid into his abdomen. They really don't know.
He'll be presented to the entire department next week, and likely we'll be trying to get an upper GI and a liver ultrasound done to try to tease out what's causing what symptoms. Ugh. And then if they decide he needs surgery, it will be next month.
No time to do for myself these days. I haven't tried the fibrovan - my big fear is that they suspect the endo is deeply embedded in my colon, and what will happen if the endo goes AWAY. It's not just in the outer layers, it goes most of the way through the depth of the wall of the colon .... they're talking another bowel resection when my symptoms get too bad to handle. Joy.
Anyway. Time to try to wind the little guy down for bed. Again. Thanks for checking in!
