So yes, I know it is midnight, and I am crazy to be sittin behind my computer, but I have been in bed for almost three hours and am having such bad cramps I cannot get comfortable enough to sleep.  I am out of morphine and Tylenol #3 is hardly taking the edge off.  As for the pain, it has gone down since my last post.  However, the bleeding stopped for a wonderful 2 days, and then came back full bore and hasn't changed since.  And of course with that comes the wonderful cramps that seem to drain every ounce of blood out of my body.  I hardly know what to do with myself lately, as my cramps are so bad, they affect my functioning level (especially at work).  And of course to top it all off, my friend had a baby, so thats been running through my head, no matter how much I try to ignore the thoughts.  I feel like I am totally ready for a burn out, that is if I am not there already (sniff, sniff).  I'm really not sure how much longer I can handle these cramps as I've had this bleeding/mega cramping for over 3 months now.
Anyhow, I hope all you other ladies out there are having a much more wonderful time in your lives than my depressing, cramping one!!!!!
Owell, at least I can vent here!!
Clara

Oh sweety..I hope it helps to know that I too am up with ya...can't sleep..seems to be the way it is these days...worrying about my sister ...sore from doing too much work blah blah..so I hear ya my friend...As for your cramps..I've never tried these but I think I'm going to go get some stuff to make them..they are called Castrol oil packs..I know a lot of alternative medicine people make them..anyhoo ..here's the instructions if you'd like to give them a try..I know it doesn't help tonight but may I suggest you get a cotton pillow case ..put a few cups of dry rice (not cooked lol) into it..tie a not and put it in the microwave for a couple mins..might take longer depends on your microwave..then put it on your owies..the rice has moisture in it and for some reason I find it seems to penetrate better.. tomorrow maybe you can get the stuff for these casterol oil packs..here's the directions:

How is a Castor Oil Pack Made?

Castor oil packs are made by soaking a piece of flannel in castor oil and placing it on the skin. The flannel is covered with a sheet of plastic, and then a hot water bottle is placed over the plastic to heat the pack.

A castor oil pack can be placed on the following body regions:

  • The right side of the abdomen. Castor oil packs are sometimes recommended by alternative practitioners as part of a liver detox program.
  • Inflamed and swollen joints, bursitis, and muscle strains.
  • The abdomen to relieve constipation and other digestive disorders.
  • The lower abdomen in cases of menstrual irregularities and uterine and ovarian cysts.

      Safety

Castor oil should not be taken internally. It should not be applied to broken skin. It should not be used during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or during menstruation.

      Materials

    • Three layers of undyed wool or cotton flannel large enough to cover the affected area
    • Castor oil
    • Plastic wrap cut one to two inches larger than the flannel (can be cut from a plastic bag)
    • Hot water bottle
    • Container with lid
    • Old clothes and sheets. Castor oil will stain clothing and bedding.

      Method

      1. Place the flannel in the container. Soak it in castor oil so that it is saturated, but not dripping.

      2. Place the pack over the affected body part.

      3. Cover with plastic.

      4. Place the hot water bottle over the pack. Leave it on for 45-60 minutes. Rest while the pack is in place.

      5. After removing the pack, cleanse the area with a dilute solution of water and baking soda.

      6. Store the pack in the covered container in the refrigerator. Each pack may be reused up to 25-30 times.

    • I know it says not to use it if menstrating but I know a few endo girls who were advised to do it ..so I think it will be ok..let me know how you make out with them...I'm going to get some too and give it a try....sending you tons of huggz...Angel

Thanks Angel....yeah, i guess it is kinda comforting to know that i am not the only person that suffers!!!!  I spent till 2:30 being upset and sore and i've already been up since 5:00 (*yawn).  Probably doesn't help that i am superstressed right now either!  As for those castor oil packs....sounds interesting.  I will definitely be picking this stuff up.  I was using a normal heating pad (microwaveable one) but it only relieves while it is warm, and then i gotta drag my butt outta bed every time it cools off too much to go warm it up again.  These ones sound like the oil would keep it warm longer.
      Thanks!

Hi ya Clara..let me know how the castrol oil packs work out...I haven't been to town yet so haven't got the supplies to try them for myself...as for heating pads..try the rice bag thing as it is a moist heat and seems to last longer..once it doesn't last longer just dump out the rice and put new rice in...I find it helps way better than the electric heating pads..anyhoo..QUIT Stressing...just let it go..give it to God as I say...if you haven't listened to the secret they would say whatever you stress about you are asking for more..so instead say I am healthy or I can work all day etc...just keep saying that...and if you believe in energy healing ...try taking your hands an pretend to cut all ties to you...think of it as umbilical cords that people have attached to you..and just take your hands and say to yourself (not outloud while others are in the room..hehe..they'll think you are looney hehe) I cut all that is tied to me..it is amazing how you feel..another one I learned is if you believe in Angels or God..picture in your mind a vacume cleaning all the stuff inside that is preventing you from healing...
Ok ..now you think I'm nuts I'm sure..but I got a great book on Angels and I was amazed and how much better I felt after doing those two things..it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders..so maybe it's mind over matter  I don't know but it sure felt better..hehe..anyhoo..know I'm thinking of ya..sending ya tons of huggz..Angel
