Just saw this online and I guess it was addressed on Dancing With the Stars tonight, I missed it.  Anyway maybe now people will actually see Endo is a real disease and maybe having someone famous have it will get more people to look into it.

Julianne Hough to Undergo Surgery
Oct. 27, 2008, 3:46 PM EST

Last week, "Dancing with the Stars" pro Julianne Hough talked about how she experienced stomach pain after performing on the popular show -- and now it's revealed what the dancer is ailing from.

"Julianne Hough, Mercury Nashville recording artist and two time 'Dancing with the Stars' champion has been diagnosed with Endometriosis and will be undergoing minor surgery to remove her appendix," it says on her Web site today. "Hough experienced mild stomach pains last week and was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. After consulting with her doctor, this course of treatment was recommended. Hough will address the surgery on Monday night's 'Dancing with the Stars,' where she'll perform with celebrity partner Cody Linley."

Also according to the Web site, "Endometriosis is the development of uterine-lining tissue outside the uterus on the surfaces of organs in the pelvis or abdomen where they are not supposed to grow. It is a common medical condition found in 5-1 percent of women of reproductive age around the world."

Hopefully it will help raise more awareness.

There are several Celebrities that have Endometriosis, but seem to be quiet about it.

If only.

And what I think is that if it's such a "common disease" then maybe they should find a cure for it too!?

Don't you agree ladies?!
