Based on your e-mail, you and your members cannot type in your message when trying to post a message on your Group, "Endo chat line". I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

This behavior is most likely related to the current settings of your Internet Explorer browser. The issue you described occurs when components of the Web page are not loaded properly or Internet-related folders on your computer are corrupted. In order to resolve this matter, here are troubleshooting procedures that will help optimize the Internet Explorer browser. Please follow these suggested fixes and you may also forward these steps to members who encounter the same issue with posting messages.

A. Clear cache and delete cookies.

Clear the browser cache and delete cookies in Internet Explorer 6.0

1. Open a new Internet Explorer browser.

2. On the Tools menu, click "Internet Options".

3. On the General tab, click "Delete Cookies", and then click "OK".

4. Click "Delete Files" and then click "OK".

5. Click "Clear History" and then click "Yes".

6. Click "OK to close the Internet Options window.

Clear the browser cache and delete cookies in Internet Explorer 7.0

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. On the Tools menu, click "Internet Options".

3. Under Browsing history, click "Delete".

4. Under Temporary Internet Files, click "Delete files".

5. Click "Yes" on the Delete Files dialog box.

6. Click "Close".

7. Under Browsing history, click "Settings".

8. Under Temporary Internet Files, select the "Every time I visit the webpage" option.

9. Click "OK".

10. Click "OK" again.

B. Enable the "Every Visit to the Page" option.

This allows you to view a website from its most updated version when you refresh the page. To do this, please follow these instructions:

1. On the Tools menu, click "Internet Options".

2. On the General tab, click "Settings" button found under the "Temporary Internet files" section.

3. Select the "Every visit to the page" option.

4. On the "Amount of disk space to use" section, click and drag the slide bar to maximize disk storage for browsing.

5. Click on "OK".

6. Click on "OK" again to close the Internet Options window.

On Internet Explorer 7.0

1. Open a new Internet Explorer window.

2. On the Tools menu, click "Internet Options".

3. On the General tab, click "Settings" under "Browsing History".

4. Click "Yes" if prompted.

5. Click the "Every time I visit to website" option.

6. Click the up arrow on the Disk Space to use option to the maximum setting.

7. Click on "OK" two times.

C. Verify that Active Scripting, ActiveX, and Java applets are not blocked.

Please check if Internet Explorer, an anti-virus program, or a firewall has been configured to block scripts, ActiveX controls, or Java applets. To reset the Internet Explorer security settings for the current Web page, please follow these steps:

1. Click "Tools" and then click "Internet Options".

2. Click on the "Security" tab.

3. Verify if the slider is set to "Medium". If not, click on the "Default Level" button.

4. Click on "Apply" and then "OK".

If you have a firewall or an anti-virus program, please make sure that this is set to allow MSN Groups to load properly.

D. Enable ActiveX controls and JavaScript.

ActiveX is not a programming language. It is a set of rules that tells software applications, like games, how to share information and operate in Windows Operating System. Therefore, when this is disabled, the MSN Groups page may not operate properly.

1. Click "Tools" and then click "Internet Options".

2. Click on the "Security" tab.

3. Click on the globe icon for "Internet".

4. Click on the "Custom Level" button. The "Security Settings" window should appear.

5. Go to the "Settings:" frame and select "Enable" for each of the five options under "ActiveX controls and plug-ins".

- "Automatic prompting for ActiveX Controls"

- "Download signed ActiveX Controls"

- "Download unsigned ActiveX Controls"

- "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins"

- "Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting"

6. Click "OK". A "Warning!" dialog box should appear. Click "Yes".

7. Click "OK" to close the "Security Settings" box.

8. Click "OK" to apply the changes.

Note: The steps above apply to the Internet Explorer browser only. If you are using a browser other than Internet Explorer, please contact your browser's customer support for instructions on how to clear cache, delete cookies, enable the "every visit of the page" option, maximize amount of disk space to use, and reset security and privacy settings.

E. Ensure that your computer has the latest Windows Updates installed.

Please click on the link below to scan your computer for the latest updates:

F. Check for spyware or adware programs that may be installed on your computer.

To be certain that your system is not infected by any type of spyware or adware, you may try scanning your system for these programs. At their most basic, spyware or adware programs feed you a bunch of advertisements. They often show up as pop-ups on your computer. You can learn more about spyware or adware and how to remove them from your computer at this website:

After applying all the steps above, please refresh your Group's page by clicking on your browser's "Refresh" button or by pressing "F5" on your keyboard. If you continue to encounter the same issue, please write back with the following information:

- The step-by-step action that you have taken when trying to post a message and where your action failed, including the exact error message received (if any)

- Have you tried using a different computer to see if you will encounter the same problem?

We appreciate your continued support as we strive to provide you with the highest quality service available. Thank you for using MSN Groups.

Sincerely,

Nadia
