HI, we are new here. Me, Kimberley & Aurora, my beautiful little girl.

Aurora had a "hypoxic event" at birth and has brain damage which has resulted in epilepsy, CP, g.e.r.d & CVI.......we have a long road ahead as she is about to turn 3 in march. I would love to hear any adivce from those of you who suffer from this unexpected type of life as we do. healing is slow but sure for us. She had infantile spasms, now has post myoclonic seizures as well as partial and has just started the Ketogenic Diet for possible better seizure control. She now takes pheno, clonopin, zonegran, baclofen & reflux meds! way too many meds for my comfort level...has this diet worked for anyone else who has tried it? thanks for your time..i have attached a poem . K-

 AURORA DAWN

A Poem by Her mother

Smiling eyes, full of so many questions

To most men’s rules

You’re the exception

Wanting to speak words we’ll understand

Happy when anyone holds your hand

Beautiful growing baby girl

So happy you are in my world

Curly brown hair, sparkling rootbeer eyes

Precious smile, sweet little sighs

Full of wonder, Joy and special surprises

I think of you and my spirit rises

Learning despite all her challenges

Cerebral palsy & epilepsy hard to balance

Feeling Loved, nurtured and wanted

Right by my side in this world

Forever my very special girl

Kimberley, this was so beautiful so what I did
was put it into Words Format and then copied it and
put it up here so all can see, I hope you don't mind
This is so beautiful.

Thanks for the Poem!!

Hugs, withangels21
