Welcome to Erin's Background Boutique and possibly to MSN groups.  We are aware that many of you are coming from Yahoo, Google and other groups.  MSN groups are diferent than most groups in they are set up primarily for visiting and interacting on site; whereas, most other groups are set up as mere e-mail broadcast systems.  MSN groups do have the option for recieving and replying to posts, but it needs to be adjusted and used carefully to avoid having a real mess in your inbox and making a mess in the group itself.
I am not formatting this text in the hope that if you recieve this via e-mail it will be legible.  Please take the time to visit this group and read the instructions for adjusting your e-mail settings to avoid recieving an e-mail each and every time somebody posts in a group you belong to, many of which will be jibberish.
Often when you reply to posts from your e-mail, your e-mail address or that of others will often appear.  This group and most responsible group managers do not allow the posting of E-mail addresses on the boards to protect members from spam.  We may have to delete or intercept your post for this reason.  Sometime free E-mail services will add advertising to the bottom of your post without your knowledge.  Sometimes the nature of these ads is not suitable for children.  This group is rated G for all ages.  Please also be aware that we have multiple boards.  Some of which have special posting restrictions.  A quick visit to the site by you will save us both a lot of angst.
We want you here and we want you to enjoy this group as well as MSN groups as a whole.  By visiting the group, you will be able to enjoy many of the features such as graphics, rich text, lists, documents, chat and many other features that other group formats do not offer.

Thanks
Blaze and Erin

To stop recieving the e-mails from the boards, you have to sign in, Click here. and select "Read on the web"  This setting will only forward the weekly update and any manager announcements.  You also have the option of a daily digest, a summation of the groups activities and posts each day.
If you use "inbox", You will recieve an e-mail every time somebody posts something on the board.  Managers can not change it for you.  Once you select Read on the web for the entire group you can also go back to individual threads that you do wish to recieve and set just them to send you mail if you want mail from them.
Another source of unwanted e-mail is spam.  The managers here use moderation to keep most of it off the boards and consequently out of your e-mail if you elect to recieve posts by mail.  What we can't control is what you may get from scumbags that "mine" group membership rosters. Only you can prevent this by hiding your e-mail on your group profile.
It is your profile.  We have no rule requiring that you hide your e-mail on your profile, nor do we require you to read only on the web.  We do however strongly recommend it.
