Anyone have a preference to coffee beans? I buy whole beans and grind them.

However, I've never had a preference to one kind of coffee bean over another. Just wondering if I'm alone on this issue.

Nacho!

Nacho, I LOVE coffee.  I don't grind my own beans simply because I really don't drink that much coffee at home.  When I do make coffee at home, I use Gevalia ground coffee.  I like their regular blend and I like their dark roast.  I actually slightly prefer dark roast over regular roast.  I love lattes, but I don't have them very often.  I will buy one if I am in close proximity to a Starbuck's; but the best one I have had is from the coffee cart in the main lobby of Brooke Army Medical Center.  I also had one that was exceptionally tasty at a little candy shop in Dillsboro NC (the person I took that road trip with thinks it's strange that a cup of coffee is what stands out in my mind about the whole trip  ).  The best regular coffee I ever had (like from a coffee stand or shop) is Seattle's Best, when Seattle was the only place you could find it.  I have had the stuff they ship to the rest of the country, and while it's above average, it's not as good as the several cups I have drunk in Seattle waiting for the ferry (maybe it was the air instead of the coffee?)

I'll drink just about anything called coffee, except instant.

I should have mentioned that my morning routine includes a stop at a little convenience store called "J's" that is run by a Pakistani guy in the town where my Mom lives; I have to pass it on my way to work.  Anyway, I stop there almost every workday morning and pick up a cup of Community Coffee.  Now, that is some great coffee and I will go out of my way to get it; it's made in Louisana and I started drinking it when I was dating a guy from Lake Charles.  It's cheap, too; the large cup (16 oz) is 99 cents!!!

Send me one, Pache!

We don't have a starbuck's or any other coffee joint up here for at least 50 miles or better!

Nacho, they used to have Community coffee in some of the stores around here (that's how I started drinking it, that Lake Charles guy wouldn't drink anything else).  If I find it, I'll send you a bag.
