What is the most interesting snowman or snowwoman or snowwhatever you've ever seen? Maybe it's one you made.

Mine was in  my neighbor's yard. It was a snowgirl with a cigarette in her mouth and a beer bottle nearby. I don't recall where she was clutching the bottle to her chest with a tree-branch arm or whether it was at her feet (the place where her feet would be if she had feet). She was wearing a green scarf.

When I was a kid I made a different snowman each year. I had Snoopy on his doghouse, a twelve foot long two and half feet tall alligator, and a multitude of other cartoon characters. One Halloween we got 10 inches of snow. I made a six foot tall Jack O' lantern and Painted it orange with a spray bottle of orange food coloring and water.

The ski areas here regularly have large snow and ice sculptures near their lodges.

One ice sculpture I'd like to have seen, is the Leadville Ice Palace, built around the turn of the century

It was large

and made entirely of ice, for one winter season. Leadville's winter is a tad on the
long side, because of the 10,100 foot elevation of the city.

I like the one above. I'm gonna make them if I ever get enough snow.
