Sources: CNN's Gupta eyed for surgeon general

Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN's chief medical correspondent, has been approached by Barack Obama's transition team about the U.S. surgeon general's post, according to sources inside the transition and at CNN. Gupta, a neurosurgeon, has served as a White House fellow and as a special adviser to then-first lady Hillary Clinton.

 

 

{ This guy is becoming quite the superstar. When CNN sent him to Iraq to report on the medical care the troops were getting in the war zone he went to work as a brain surgeon operating on the troops. Seems he can do whatever he is called to do. He has very good language skills, is young and talented. Quite an interesting choice. What do you think?}
