I suspect all that is true. In the short view after eight years of the Clinton Presidency and fuelled by their visceral hatred for him and his administration the cons were ready to sell their collective soul if necessary to once again gain power.
Along came the neocons with their puppet George W Bush who really had no political philosophy at the time and was easily managed and the cons bought into what the neocons were selling.
Conservative America voted for Bush but it was really the neocons who were running things. In the eight years they have been in control they have destroyed much of what this country has stood for since 1776. It truly been the age of scoundrels. History will not forgive them and we must see that they never rise to power again. |
