The whole discussion is pointless because Alaska has no state requirement that participants in apprenticeship programs have a high school diploma. Sponsors of apprenticeship programs set their own requirements for participation, and those requirements may include educational requirements. Then it's the responsibility of the sponsor to make sure the participants meet those requirements. There are a lot of reasons to criticize Sarah Palin, but this isn't one of them. A better idea would be to just ignore her and let her return to being an obscure governor in a remote state that functions far differently from the rest of the country. |
