Im gonna whip up a stuffed pepper sort of soup using what i have on hand. im gonna brown some ground turkey with onions, maybe celery if its still good, i havent checked yet. Then ill had two poblano peppers and two green peppers, because thats what i got. And will use V8 juice for the liquid. Add some canned diced tomatoes. probably use pepper, bay leaf, tad of salt and maybe a few other spices. And it will turn out however it will. lol. Usually those thrown together things are pretty tasty. Oh and i think ill add some barley or rice, like i would with stuffed peppers. And the best is it will last a few days. leftovers rock. |

That sounds tasty. Here is another recipe that is great for those soon coming cold evenings. Melt butter in pan, stir fry garlic and onions. Also cook bacon in another pan until crisp. crunch up the bacon, and add to cooked top ramen, garnish with the garlic and onions and add cheese. Also good if you add sour cream on top. |

IDA, in a previous life I had almost the exact dish but without the sour creme. It didn't sound great but was surprisingly good. DD |

Back in my college days, as I'm sure it is true for most college students, ramen noodles were a staple. One day, my roomate bought buttermilk by mistake. I personally can't stand to look at buttermilk, but we didn't want to waste it so we decided to let the ramen noodles cook slowly in the buttermilk, added american cheese and some green beans. Sounds aweful, right? It's excellent! |
