It's strawberry season here in Michigan! My favorite time of year!      Nothing better than a Michigan strawberry! If you've never had one, you don't know what you're missing!     Nacho! |

The very best strawberries are the alpine strawberries we have growing semi-wild in our garden.  At 4 to 5 mm across they are very intensely flavoured - more of a treat for when we are pottering in the garden rather than a fruit we would bring in for a meal. |

John,     We grow a variety here called "Jewels" that are outstanding!      Deep red in color through the middle of the berry, very sweet, and they hold well, too!      A wonderful fruit! Always freeze these things when possible, they'll hold through the winter, and they'll eat well all year long!     Nacho! |

| Mumble, mumble, all our berries taste of plywood or are mouldy, grumble. |
