I made these yesterday. They are almost as good as the ones you buy at the mall. I suppose you could use just about any kind of nut.
16 ounces of pecans 1 1/2 cups of sugar 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 3/4 cup of water
In a heavy skillet mix sugar, cinnamon, and water. Bring to boil. Line cookie sheet with wax paper while sugar water is coming to a boil. Add nuts to sugar water and stir. Keep stirring frequently until the water boils away, and the nuts take on a sugary appearance. Remove from skillet and place on lined cookie sheet. Separate nuts with a fork so they don't stick together while cooling. Makes about two sandwich bags full.
