I'm not sure I truly understand this one, but I love it.  My "take" is similar to how music in a minor key (the black keys?) tends to make me sad (but in a wistful sort of way.....)  That's what this Poem evokes in me: wistfulness, and a reluctant acceptance of things that cannot be changed.....
