| Canines of all kinds celebrate the dog days of summer at the Loews Annapolis Hotel's
Breakfast to Benefit SPCA of AA Co., Kick-Off Pet Sitters International "Take Your Dog to Work Day" and Promote LOEWS LOVES PETS Program
Annapolis, MD (May, 01)—Celebrate the dog days of summer at Loews Annapolis Hotel's first Loews Hotels Bark Breakfast, Friday, June 22 from 7:30 �?9:30 am. Meet poodles and pit bulls, collies and cattle dogs at this dog-a-licious breakfast sure to satisfy any canine and human appetite. The Loews Hotels Bark Breakfast is sponsored by Loews Annapolis Hotel and the SPCA of Anne Arundel County to raise money and awareness for protection of all animals from acts of cruelty or neglect.
The Loews Hotels Bark Breakfast is the official kick-off for Pet Sitters International "Take Your Dog To Work Day," where hundreds of companies across the nation encourage employees to bring in their pets to celebrate the benefits of dog ownership. Dog owners are invited to start the day at the Loews Hotels Bark Breakfast, where they can treat their "power pooches" to a specially prepared doggie breakfast while enjoying their own meal. Pets will be served a special breakfast buffet with items from Loews Annapolis Hotel's room service menu for "VIPs" (Very Special Pets). The hotel's wait staff will serve both dogs and their owners with equal flair and special treatment, even tying napkins around each dog's neck so they won't risk "spilling" on their fur. Highlighting the event will be "Canines on the Catwalk", a fashion show of the new line of human and dog fashions from Old Navy, located in Annapolis Harbor Center. Booths will be set up with participants from local dog services, including a local veterinarian and Paws Pet Boutique. After breakfast, each pooch will receive a "Bark Briefcase" with a variety of special items to take to work with them. The event is priced at $25.00 per "pet set" (one human + one dog).
Proceeds from the Loews Hotels Bark Breakfast will be donated to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County. Reservations are recommended for the Loews Hotels Bark Breakfast and can be made by calling (410) 295-3201.
The Loews Hotels Bark Breakfast promotes the "Loews Loves Pets" program as a Loews Hotels Standard. Loews Annapolis Hotel supports this program and offers many amenities for its visiting pets. Some of the pet necessities provided by the Loews Annapolis Hotel are dog and cat beds, dog bowls, pet toys, pooper scoopers, and even a "Do Not Disturb" sign that indicates a pet is in the room.
In addition to the hotel's pet-friendly policy, as part of the chain's Good Neighbor Program, Loews Annapolis Hotel is involved with the SPCA of AA Co. through ongoing donations, volunteerism, and fundraising events. The Loews Hotels Bark Breakfast is the second national Good Neighbor event in 2001 to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the Loews Hotels Good Neighbor Policy, the first and most comprehensive community outreach program in the hotel industry. The Loews Hotels Bark Breakfast is expected to raise more than $15,000 for animal causes in the US and Canada.
