Good Morning Jackie,

I have a question for you.  Yesterday, ealry morning before it was light out but just as the traffic rush was starting, I looked out my window & saw a dead puppy in the middle of the busy street I live on.   I wanted so badly to remove him from the street so he wouldn't keep getting hit but when I went out & looked I could tell that he'd been gone awhile & rigamortis (sp?) had set in.  Once that happens I just can't deal with it.  I went to the garage & got out a bright orange caution cone  & put next to the puppy (& layed a big red velvet Christmas bow on him).  I Just felt so bad that his owners weren't there to do anything for him so somebody needed to). I feel so bad I couldn't find it in me to get him out of the street but I did call police dispatch to have him picked up.

Anyway, I was thinking of looking in the paper to see if anyone was looking for a dog of his discription and if so,
calling them to tell them.  This is my dilema.  I hate to be the one to deliver the bad news & break their hearts but I also know how terrible it is to keep wondering about a loved one & how it is  also a relief to have closure.

What would you do?  Would you make the call or just let it go?  I'd really appreciate your input.

Thanks & Have A Great Day

I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you, things have been
so hectic at our house right now, with sickness, etc.
I'm so sorry you had to witness something like that,
that poor puppy. I guess I'm a little late in answering
you, but yes I would have called. My dogs mean more
to me than anything in the world and I would want to
know what happened to them, and if at all pick them
up to provide them with a decent burial.
However I understand how you could not pick the
pup up, it would be very difficult for me too.
I hope it all worked out and again I'm so sorry
that you had to go through that.
Jackie
