Dog Facts 1

Although a dog might be jealous of a new puppy in the beginning this usually passes quickly since dogs are social animals.

Boy, you ain't kidding!!  If only they could read.  We've been messing around with the dosage on Gracie's meds and having mixed success.  Also working on using a no reward marker, sort of the opposite of a reward marker like a clicker.  It lets her know when she's done something wrong and will be getting a time out.  That is actually going very well.  I use "too bad" and when I say it, she stops snarling and turns and slinks to the laundry room, which is her 3 minute time out room.  Before  messing with her meds, we were down to maybe one time out a day from about 10 a day.

Dogs become layal not because you feed them, but because of the companionship you give them.

Most dogs don't like to be left alone so they howl. Leave the radio or television
on to keep your dog company when you
are away.

My t.v. is on 24/7 for my puppies.  I leave it on either TBS (comedies) or Animal Planet.  LOL

Housebreaking a puppy is just like toilet training a child; first you learn to recognize the signs, then you react every
time you see them.

We have always been fortunate to not have any problems
with housebreaking the kids.

Man could learn much from his dog; to be
faithful, and to appreciate those who love him.

Dog Facts Number 8
When a Puppy is remived from its mother, don't make it spend the first night
alone. Its loss of family is enough for
one night.

As soon as you new Pet is comfortable with its new
home, move it to the
location where you will want
it to sleep for its lifetime.

If a dog has wet or muddy paws, rest assured he will want to put them on you.
