Friday night was my son's last high school football game.  He is a senior and unfortunatly they lost their last game so they won't be going to playoffs.  Friday night was Senior night and very emotional for all of us senior parents.  I can't believe there will be no more football practice, no more 5:30 am conditioning and no more making motivational posters for the locker room.  They grow up so fast.  Soon he will be in college and I just can't believe how fast the time has flown.  He is my oldest so I'm having a hard time believeing that he really is growing up and will fly out of the nest soon.  Here are a couple of his football pictures.

Tonya, I know how you feel.  My son is now almost 23 but I remember those last games and senior night.  Kind of an end of an era for the parents as well as the kids.  He's a very handsome young man.  I'm sure he'll make his mamma proud in college as well!!

Oh GEEZ!!!! I really feel for you Tonya.
I'm trying to savor every moment and moma can I play (some sport)?
I really do see everyone's kids growing so fast and the more I
hear and see it with my own eyes, I'm holding on even tighter.

It's part of life and I have a hard time with change. I can adapt
but I can't say I don't do it without grunting along the way. He's
a handsome boy and I'm hoping you adapt to the nearing changes.

Sending you big hugs

What a handsome young man he is!  Even though his high school football career didn't end the way he had hoped, he has a bright future ahead of him and he should be proud.

Tonya I know exactly what you mean.  Time goes so fast and we just don't have them very long.  It's sad but as good parents we have to let them go.  I'm just glad it's a little at a time ---

let them go to kindergarten
let them go to spend the night with a friend, boy scout camp, etc.
let them go off to high school, dating and off in a car driving on their own
Off to college
and off on their own to start their own families.

and if we're really lucky, we get to be near our grandchildren often and be a part of their lives.

You're son is very handsome and so sorry to hear he lost his last game.  Maybe he'll play football in college?

Wow..what a hottie!!  I bet he has girlfriends all over the place!!  Yes, it is hard to let go, not that I have ever done that as all mine keep coming back for more...lol.  I had to be the tough one and shut the door so they could grow up!  That is the hardest part of being a parent.  I am sure he will be just fine.  He's been a success thus far!  Dry up those tears and get that room ready for some grandbabies....they will be here before you know it!

Thank you all for your nice comments.  Taylor is a great young man.  The one good thing about football being over is he will have more time to devote to college "stuff".  Graduation is right around the corner and then he'll be gone to college. UGH!  I have a younger son that is in 5th grade and believe me, he keeps me on my toes.  I will probably take Taylor leaving home better than his father.  LOL!   My husband doesn't even want to think about him growing up.
