My 2-legged friend wasn't able to change her schedule to go with me to pick up my new horse trailer and new horse, Dude, this weekend, so my furbaby and best friend, Jackie, is going to go with me.  Maya and Pooh Bear will keep each other company at home while Jackie keeps me company on the road.  She's the bestest traveling companion (except that she never offers to help with the driving) and is so well-behaved that she's a joy and absolutely no trouble to take with me.

 

I'll get pics of me and Jackie and Dude and Jerry and will post them on hopefully Sunday.  I'm going to spend most of the day Sunday at the barn with Jerry and Dude.  I'm also going to meet one of my online horse friends in person!  She lives real close to where Dude is so we're going to get together while I'm down there.

 

Wish us luck and good weather!  I'm planning on being on the road by 5:00 a.m. (a few hours from now).  I'll bring Diet Coke and No-Doz with me for the drive~LOL.   I'm a great long-distance driver, and don't worry: if I get sleepy I'll pull over.  But I'm sure I'll be just fine.  It's about 5 hours each way, which is nothing to me.

 

It'll probably be raining and possibly light slow flurries, but the lows will be in the 40s so at least the roads won't be icy.  Wet roads I can handle; ice not so much.
