Bavarian Mint Coffee Mix

1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1/4 cup instant coffee powder
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1-ounce peppermint candy, crushed
  1. Combine sugar, non-dairy creamer, coffee powder, cocoa powder and peppermint candy in an airtight container; mix well and store in a dry place.

RECIPE TO ATTACH:
For each serving, combine 2 tablespoons of the mixture with 1/2 cup boiling water; mix well.

Makes 8 servings.

Hot Cocoa Mix

1 cup powdered nondairy coffee creamer
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/4 cup mint chocolate chips
1/2 cup miniature marshmallows

  1. Combine all ingredients; store in an airtight container.

Makes 2 1/3 cups mix.

DIRECTIONS FOR GIFT RECIPE CARD:
Add 2/3 cup boiling water to 1/3 cup Hot Cocoa Mix. Makes 1 cup serving.

Instant Cocoa Mix (Diabetic)

2 cups nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 cup lower-fat powdered nondairy creamer
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
10 packets Equal® sweetener or 1 tablespoon Equal® for Recipes
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

  1. For cocoa mix, stir together milk powder, nondairy creamer, cocoa powder, Equal® and, if desired, cinnamon. Cover and store in an airtight container.
  2. For each serving, in a heat-proof mug add 3/4 cup boiling water to 1/3 cup cocoa mix; stir to dissolve.

Makes 2 2/3 cups mix (enough for 8 six-ounce servings).

Nutrition information per serving: Calories: 104, Protein: 8 g, Carbohydrates: 17 g, Fat: 2 g, Cholesterol: 3 mg, Sodium: 93 mg.

Layered Soup Mix In A Jar
Makes a great gift for almost any occasion.
1/2 cup dry split peas
1/3 cup beef bouillon granules
1/4 cup pearl barley
1/2 cup dry lentils
1/4 cup dried minced onion
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice
1/2 cup alphabet macaroni or other small macaroni (Sealed in a plastic
sandwich bag to make it easier for the recipient to get out of jar.)
  1. In a 1 1/2-pint jar, layer the ingredients in the order listed.
    Seal tightly.

Makes 1 batch Friendship Soup Mix.

Instructions to Attach to Jar:

Ingredients:
Friendship Soup Mix
1 pound ground beef
3 quarts water
1 (28-ounces) can diced tomatoes, undrained

To prepare soup:

  1. Remove macaroni from top of jar and set aside.
  2. In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, brown beef; drain. Add the water, tomatoes and soup mix; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
  3. Add reserved macaroni; cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until macaroni, peas, lentils and barley are tender.

Makes 16 servings (4 quarts).

This Recipe is excellent for gift giving. Simply make the recipe, package in jars and use a festive ribbon to attach a decorative label with preparation instructions.

London Town Punch Mix

1 cup dry orange drink mix
2/3 cup instant iced tea mix
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup dry lemonade mix
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  1. In a bowl, combine orange drink mix, iced tea mix, sugar, lemonade mix, cinnamon and cloves. Place mixture in an airtight storage container.

RECIPE TO ATTACH:
For one serving, mix 2 tablespoons drink mixture with 1 cup boiling water.

Makes 20 servings.

Mexican Seasoning Mix

1/4 dried onion flakes
1/4 cup chili powder
1 1/2 tablespoons salt
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
2 teaspoons beef-flavored bouillon granules
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons dried cilantro leaves

  1. Combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container.

Makes 3/4 cup.

DIRECTIONS FOR GIFT RECIPE CARD:

  1. To make beef taco filing, brown 1 pound ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, stirring to crumble; drain well.
  2. Stir in 1 cup water and 2 tablespoons Mexican Season Mix; bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes.
  3. Serve in taco shells with desired accompaniments.

Mini Pumpkin Muffin Mix

Create a gift worth giving when you prepare this scrumptious pumpkin and raisin muffin mix for friends and relatives.

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup raisins, sweetened dried cranberries, or chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup granulated sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 (15-ounce) can LIBBY'S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
  1. COMBINE all ingredients, except pumpkin, in large bowl. Pour into 1-quart resealable plastic bag; seal. Wrap muffin mix and can of pumpkin in fabric; tie with ribbon or twine.
  2. RECIPE TO ATTACH: Pour muffin mix into large bowl. Cut in 1/2 cup vegetable shortening with pastry blender until mixture is fine. Add 1 cup LIBBY'S 100% PURE PUMPKIN, 1 cup milk and 2 large eggs; mix until just moistened. Spoon into greased or paper-lined mini-muffin pans, filling 2/3 full. Bake in preheated 400ºF oven for 15 minutes; remove to wire racks. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired. Makes about 60 mini muffins.

Makes 60 mini muffins.

Non-Dairy Peppermint Cocoa Mix

3 (4 1/2-inch) peppermint sticks
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa

  1. Crush peppermint stick with a small amount of the powdered sugar in a food processor or blender.
  2. Combine the crushed peppermint with remaining sugar, creamer and cocoa; mixing well.
  3. To serve add 1/4 cup mix to 3/4 cup boiling water per serving.
  4. Store remaining mix in a jar or airtight bag.

Makes 8 servings.

Oatmeal Chip Cookie Mix in a Jar

Help someone make their own memories with this thoughtful gift.

2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, or butterscotch flavored morsels
1 1/2 cups quick or old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup chopped nuts
  1. COMBINE flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in small bowl. Place flour mixture in 1-quart jar. Layer remaining ingredients in order listed above, pressing firmly after each layer. Seal with lid and decorate with fabric and ribbon.

RECIPE TO ATTACH:
Beat 1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter or margarine, 1 large egg and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until blended. Add cookie mix; mix well, breaking up any clumps. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking

2 cups (about 10 envelopes) Rich Chocolate NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Hot Cocoa Mix
12 peppermint candies
  1. PLACE cocoa mix and candies in food processor or blender; cover. Process until candies are crushed. Store in airtight container.
  2. TO MAKE ONE SERVING: Place 3 tablespoons Peppermint Cocoa Fusion in mug; stir in 1 cup hot milk or water. Serve immediately.

Pumpkin Cranberry Bread Mix

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1 (15-ounce) can LIBBY'S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
  1. COMBINE all ingredients, except pumpkin, in large bowl. Pour into 1-quart resealable plastic bag. Place in fabric bag. Place bread mix and can of pumpkin in 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

RECIPE TO ATTACH:
Beat together 3/4 cup LIBBY'S 100% Pure Pumpkin, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 2 large eggs and 1/4 cup orange juice or water in large mixer bowl until blended. Add contents of bag; stir until just moistened. Spoon batter into greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake in preheated 350° F. oven for 60 to 65 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes; remove to wire rack to cool completely. Makes 1 loaf.

Santa's Cocoa Mix

8 cups powdered milk
1 (16-ounce) package instant cocoa
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
10-ounces powdered non-dairy creamer
8-ounces miniature marshmallows
6-ounces finely crushed peppermint candy
  1. Combine powdered milk, cocoa, powdered sugar, creamer, marshmallows and peppermint candy; mix well. Store in an airtight container.

RECIPE TO ATTACH:
For each serving, mix 1/3 to 1/2 cup of mix with 1 cup boiling water; mix well.

Makes 10 servings.

1 cup quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

  1. Combine all ingredients; store in an airtight container.

Makes 5 1/4 cups.

DIRECTIONS FOR GIFT RECIPE CARD:

  1. Place Spice Cookie Mix in a large bowl; stir in 1 large egg, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  2. Drop by round teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets.

1 1/2 cups instant tea powder
2 cups orange flavored instant breakfast powder
1 (3-ounce) package lemonade mix
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  1. Combine all ingredients until well blended. Store mix in an airtight container.
  2. To make 1 cup of spiced tea: Place 2 teaspoons tea mix in a cup, add boiling water, stir and enjoy!

Makes 64 servings or 3 1/2 cups mix.

This brownie mix is the perfect gift for REAL chocolate lovers on your holiday list.

Triple Fudge Brownie Mix

For Brownie Mix:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup real semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup white baking chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Ingredients Needed to Complete Brownies:
1/2 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, melted
3 large eggs, slightly beaten
2 teaspoons powdered sugar, if desired
  1. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in small bowl. Spoon flour mixture into 1-quart decorative jar. Layer with cocoa, sugar, chocolate chips, white baking chips and walnuts. Place lid on jar. Include the following directions with jar of brownie mix.

Baking Directions: Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 8 or 9-inch square baking pan. Combine 1/2 cup melted butter and 3 slightly beaten eggs in medium bowl. Add brownie mix from jar. Stir just until moistened. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. (DO NOT UNDERBAKE.) Cool completely. Sift 2 teaspoons powdered sugar over top of cooled brownies, if desired.

Makes 16 brownies.
