Ok....I read on Guidelines about posting an introduction. So here goes.
My name really is Wihuna. Not pronounced as spelt...lol. It is Lenne Lenape and it means Chiefs Child. And no my dad wasn't a Lenne Lenape Chief. My grandfather was a medicine chief and he named me. So from that you are sure to gather I am Native American Indian. I follow the Cherokee path since my mother was full blood Cherokee. I'm reservation born and raised. My name was the only thing outside the Cherokee culture my mother would allow....lol.
Other than being Cherokee I am retired military. Thirty years in the Marine Corp. Vietnam and Desert Storm veteran to name a couple. My husband, Tachee, and I live in western Georgia with my mentally handicapped sister, Edith. Tachee is also Native American.......Cherokee, Creek and Choctaw descent.
Our large home sits on 7 acres and it is run by 4 horses (Axel, Star Fire, Blaze, and Lil Boss Man), 5 dogs, (Shadow Dancer, Timber, Whiskey, Usti and Spirit Runner), 9 cats (Maggie, Elvira, Squanto, Curly, Smokey, Midnight, Raven and Tina) and one very lonely japanese Fighting fish (Jap).
Between us, Tachee and I have 17 children (ages 41 years to 24 years), 11 grandchildren (ages 23 years to 2 months) and so far just one great grandchild (age 3 years).
When I'm not running after the grandchildren and pampering my four legged babies I do genealogy. Tends to be a pretty hectic life at times.
Well there it is......my introduction. Hope I didn't bore you too bad.
