They had been to Alaska on a fishing trip and had come back with TONS of salmon and halibut. This is one of the yummiest things I have ever eaten!" INGREDIENTS: 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon melted butter 1 tablespoon lemon juice 3 tablespoons dry mustard 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper | 1 pound halibut fillets, cubed 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 1 (2.8 ounce) can French-fried onions | DIRECTIONS: 1. | In a shallow dish, mix the olive oil, butter, lemon juice, dry mustard, salt, and pepper. Place the cubed halibut in the dish, and allow to marinate for 45 minutes in the refrigerator. | 2. | Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). | 3. | Transfer the halibut and marinade mixture to a casserole dish. It takes hardly any time at all to make, but it is sure to leave a lasting impression." INGREDIENTS: 1 tablespoon olive oil 2 (8 ounce) steaks halibut 1/2 cup white wine 1 teaspoon chopped garlic | 1/4 cup butter salt and pepper to taste 3 tablespoons capers, with liquid | DIRECTIONS: 1. | Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the halibut steaks on all sides until nicely browned. Remove from pan, and set aside. | 2. | Pour the wine into the pan, and use a spatula to scrape any browned bits from the bottom.
