1 whole chicken or 3 boneless breasts (I use whole chicken, much better flavor)
6-8 carrots, sliced or diced
4 stalks celery, sliced or diced
1/2 - 1 onion, sliced and diced
5-7 cubes chicken bouillon (5 if you used the whole chicken)
8-10 cups water depending on how thick you like it.
1 package uncooked egg noodles or 1 cup rice
In a large pot boil the chicken until tender. Put chicken in fridge to cool.
Add chicken, carrots, onions, celery and bouillon to pot and simmer at least 2 hours or until vegetables are tender - stirring occasionally. During the last 30 minutes add egg noodles or rice.
