Emily Sue, was my Rottweiler who I got back in Aug of 1991, shortly after getting her my father passed away, I was 22. Emily being a pup gave me something to look forward to in difficult times. At age five Emily Sue was diagnosed with Osteo Circoma in her lower left jaw, and we had the growth removed with no chemo or radiation therapy, we also considered having a "plastic jaw" replacement but decided it was in her best interest and probley would not survive the invasive surgery and time from home...she refused to eat when we were not around. In 1991 our daughter was born, and when we brought our daughter home, Emily loved her, and would sleep under her crib and keep watch over the baby, if the baby made a sound, Emily would come and get us...Our daughter was truely loved by Emily and Emily oddly enough looked on her like she was her own pup...
In 1998, the family went through another tragedy where my brother was stabbed and lost oxygen to the brain and stopped breathing for 18 minutes, he is now a severe brain injury person, when he went to rehabilitation we got permission to bring Emily to visit at the Rehab hospital. My brother seeing Emily gave him the will to want to speak and walk with her, she actually advanced his recovery process and he made better gains than the doctors expected. The Health South Rehab unit made the request to allow her to see other patients, we allowed it, and she became the "visiting dog" for the TBI unit and all the folks looked forward to seeing her. In late 2002, Emily began getting bladder infections, and was treated for that condition, and right after she developed breast cancer and had one of her nipples removed. The Animal hospital put her on ridalyn on 3, March of 2003 and she had serious side effects of the medication and we lost  our very loved Emily on March 7 of 2003 due to a stomach hemmorage caused by the ridalyn, Emily was almost 12 years old ( 11 yrs 8 months.)

Lucky my first pom, had three homes in three years, when he was 3 1/2 we got him by a phone call by our vet,the vet was looking for a home for Lucky and wated to know if we would be interested in seeing him, Lucky was beaten in his first  home, and the vet wanted him to go to a home the would not make a commitment and then back out of it,  he spent a year with Emily and did great, so we were Lucky's forth home in 3 1/2 yrs and he has been with us since..An eldery lady had him, his thrid home, and decided he was too much work for her as she looked after her grandkids, and she could not get Lucky to train well as she did not have the time to be persistant with him.
anyways thats how we got Lucky..

Sterling our second Pomeranian we got after Emily's death, as Lucky was very depressed, and the daughter was too, so we got him as a pup...and he has been much loved and with us since.

Angel, We got a year ago...just because we could, we wanted too, and glad we did.
