Well little Toby is a Jack Russell. My dh and I got hime 2 1/2 yrs ago from the SPCA. he was sick when we got him with heart worms. We were giving him meds everyday for about 2 to 3 mths and we could not let him get to excited. That was tuff. I still remember the day we got him. I had only known my dh for about 3 mths and I was off of work due to a back injury that I had gotten when I moved down here, well I was getting really depressed, sleeping during the day and up all night I was putting on the pounds really fast too. I had to leave my baby girl Sadie behind with family till I had a chance to go get her so we decided that we we go see if we could find a cute little dog. It was the day after Christmas and we had been out all day calling ppl on the phone b/c it is really hard to find a small dog around here.Anyway the spca was our last stop and we had made a few rounds already when my dh and I went in different directions. Well, he came and found me and sade the their was a jack Russell they just put into a cage, I asked what do they look like and he said like the Frazier dog, well I didn't really care for the frazier dog but I went and looked anyway.I had to stand their and look at him for a few minutes b/c I really wasn't sure. I remember my dh saying that it looked like his eyes were gonna pop out of his head and his paws looked like fingers. So we went ahead and got him but I remeber saying to myself did we just do the right thing? he is a sick dog plus did I really want this kind of dog? Needless to say we couldn't have made a better choice. He is truly and awsome dog. Smart funny and the most lovable thing you have ever seen. I don't think their is a day that he is not making us laugh. He sleeps in the bed with us, or he will lay on the couch with us. He has to lay on something soft and he has to have his face covered up when he sleeps. I don't know if you have ever seen the commercial with the Jack Russell that goes and gets a bunch of close and makes a pile to lay on, well that is my Toby. Well thats enough for now, I could go on forever about him. Hope you all enjoy my Toby's story. |
