Copper is our 2 yr old beagle. I found him in the newspaper for free. My husband and I called about him the day we saw him in the paper. The lady told us that if someone didnt come to get him soon they were going to put him down. Of course, I had John go get him. How cruel is it to put an animal down all because he won't hunt...big deal...grrrrr.

 

Cherokee is our 2 yr old husky.  Once again we found her in the paper. We called to get the scoop. We were once again told if she wasn't given to someone soon she also was going to be put down. John, the kids, and I went after her. We fell in love with her at first site. She knew we were there to save her...she came right to John and I. We put the leash on her and she jumped right in the truck. Now, she is the biggest baby we have...lol. She was small for her breed when we got her. After feeding her better quaility dog food and so on she has gained about 80 pounds and grew almost 2 foot. She is huge...lol. When she stands on her back legs she is taller than my husband. He is 6 foot tall.

 

Cash...well his story isn't sad at all. We had just moved to this neighborhood. Our neighbors had a litter of puppies. Of course, my children loved to go outside and play with them. So, we went over and asked how much they wanted for one. Granny (that is what we call her) said take him. So, now he is our lil' cash. My husband named him after the legendary singer Johnny Cash...lol.
