I adopted Kaley five years ago on January 8. When I saw her at Whippet Rescue she was standing away from all the other dogs over by a fence and she was very scared. I told the people I wanted to see her and they said I should see the others which were jumping on me and kissing me but my heart and head said no, I want to see her. Her name was number 5... They brought her to me and told me her story. She was rescued from Northern Calif. from collectors who abused her. She was locked in a cage for her first 3 years and lived in her pee and poop. She has scars on her face and never had human contact. I told these people that I wanted her and I would give her a good life with a lot of love. I took her home with me, she was so scared of the grass , she never was out of her cage. Now she loves to lay in the grass and sunbathe. She is the sweetest dog ever. She has her fears and many of them, she now makes eye contact and loves to be petted. She loves her walks and her treats. Most of all she loves Merlin who is another rescue and he with his love has helped bring Kaley out of her shell. These two are the loves of my life.
