She is a giveaway dog.  When Chuck was trucking in the States he saw and ad for free puppies.  He knew how sad I was with Clyde's passing he wanted to surprise me with a puppy.  He told me she was so tiny and her mom wasn't all that big.  What a laugh.  He smuggled her across the border and brought her home to mom.  She was a lot bigger than he told me. LOL  On the trip home she developed a sinus infection and she had a hole in the roof of her mouth.  Well the vet gave me some meds but told me not to get attached to her because of the hole as he didn't think she would survive.  I left there in tears.  But she fooled him. She got better and she is 1.5 yrs old now.
She has a crooked smile.  Her jaw was broke at some time before we got her and she was only 8 wks old then.  I think it was at birth but we will never know.  She is Rottie/Shephard mix.  Not the tiny puppy after all.  She is smart as a whip.  Training was a cinch for her.  When she was around  8 months old she developed seizures. The vet put her on meds and she has had to have them adjusted just once so far.  She loves to chew on Floyds and Dakotas necks.
She is the light of my life.  I am short and she is tall and her greatest thing is to bite my bum when I walk down the hall.  She has so much fun doing this and I can only laugh at her.
When our step daughter came she was the one Roxie took a shine to.  Suzie haveing only the use of one arm Roxie just seemed to know and was easier on her than us.  Suzie being a cat lover soon learned how to be a dog lover.  Roxie even stopped sleeping with mom to go and sleep in the hall by her door or if she could on her bed.
Roxie steals everyones heart.  She does have a bad habit of jumping on you when you get home.  No matter what we do she just won't stop doing that.  I have learned it is easier to get down on the floor and pet her right away so she will settle down.  (I think she has mom well trained)
She loves to play with her squeaky toys.  To our amazement Floyd allows her to run around squeaking them as he used to grab the toy and rip out the squeaker.  She is so cute with them.  Of course she has quite a few now.  She is a doll.  I wanted a little dog and she turned out to be a big dog but with so much love it is so hard to resist her.  When she does sleep with mom she has to be right beside me and of course steals most of the covers.  She goes around and around and picks the covers up in her teeth just to get them in the right position and then just flops down and goes to sleep.  When she was starting to grow she had growing pains and would wake up whinning and we would give her a dog aspirin to help.  Once that started to work she would go right back to sleep.  I think we went threw 3 months of this as her legs grew way to fast. She gets up with mom every morning and comes into the kitchen to get her pill wrapped in some cheese and then she is back to bed.  So that is her story so far and I hope to come back over the years and tell you more stories of her
