The Fairy Faith

Join John Walker as he explores  the magical "otherworld" of fairies. Visit the places fairies live and meet some of the people who have seen and believe in them.

"Fairy lore has been with us for thousands of years the Greek fawns and satyrs, the Roman furies, the Genies, the Celtic Shie and the English pixies and elves. But the notion that they might still be with us had not occurred to me for a long time."
- filmmaker John Walker

In the Scottish highlands, writer Dolina Wallace points out the local fairy realms and tells the story of a man who was rendered blind after displeasing the fairies.

Former teacher Gregor Hutcheson shows how he  locates fairy places with his divining rods.

Storyteller Eddie Lenihan convinces a local council to re-route a highway around a rare fairy thorn tree.

Kathhleen Boyle tells how the Ceol Shie, the gift of fairy music, was bestowed on her grandfather by the fairies.
