Feng Shui - Spiritual Art of Placement to Create Sacred Spaces

Bagua

Use a ba-gua grid over th plan of your home with the entrance of your home opening into Inner Knowledge, Career Path, or Helpful People. Place objects of beauty and power in any area of your home that you want to energize.

If there is a missing part in your space, it will bring its own difficulties. Mirrors are a solution to many of these problems. Place one mirror on the internal wall of a missing area. The mirrors need to be as large as the space allows and preferably framed. Raw edges of unframed mirrors and spiky frames can produce distortions of energy, as do mirrors, which are leaned against the wall rather than hung. Use natural vegetation, plants to fill a missing area. It can be filled with anything to extend the presence of the occupants into that area. Use crystal bowls filled with water.

2. The alignment of the grid is determined by where the main doorway to the room is situated.

3. The entrance to your home is a major entry point for energy flow into your dwelling. It is very important that the main entrance to your home is not obstructed in any way. Any door in your house that opens into a wall rather than opening into free space will impede energy flow. If you can't re-hang the doors, place a mirror on the wall, which the door faces, so as to bring energy into the space more easily. Make the mirror a large one. Place strong, vibrant plants at the entrance, add pictures which are inspiring and have good lighting and mirrors which can add light and dimension if your hall is small. If your entrance opens into a kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom, you can place hanging wind chimes between the entrance and the room in question.

4. If a room has a column or pillar in it, it interrupts the flow of energy. Wrap the pillar with fabric to soften the effect.

5. Any room with a sharp corner can create difficulty, as it is can undercut the energy of the occupants. Hang mirrors on either side of the sharp corner, or put a plant in front of the corner, or hang wind chimes, or a crystal ball in front of it.

6. Windows are the eyes of a home. Ideally windows should open outward, or even inward, rather than up and down as this allows more chi (energy) to enter the home.

7. Bathrooms represent the place where water (which symbolizes money) escapes. Kitchens represent wealth, so a bathroom should not face the kitchen. Keep the toilet seat down when not in use. Keep the door of the room where the toilet is located closed, and put a mirror on the outside of it to deflect energy away.
