Feng Shui is based on natural principles and ideals. Two of the most fundamental principles are the fact that "everything is energy" and that "your space reflects your life."
As each day unfolds, you may feel yourself inspired to do some small gentle shift in your environment. You will find that as you do the small things, the larger things take care of themselves. Changing your environment does not have to be a daunting or forbidding task. Instead, it can be an enjoyable process of dealing with one thing at a time.
Having a space with "good" Feng Shui doesn't mean that you won't have anything in it or that it will look like an Asian home. It doesn't mean you will have to buy all new furniture, or that the furniture you have doesn't meet your new standards. "Good" Feng Shui definitely doesn't mean you have to use a certain kind of furniture or a certain color, and it doesn't mean you have to move.
It does mean that you will have in your possession only those things which mean something to you. It means every room, every hallway, every closet, every cupboard will hold a special meaning for you. You will experience what it means to say, "I love my house."
Feng Shui is a process. As with your personal growth mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, you will never be finished. This is not meant to be discouraging, but to make you aware that, as your life continues to change, so will your environment. Since your space reflects your life, it too will undergo some changes. Moving just one thing that hasn't been moved in at least six months can help you begin the Feng Shui journey. Anytime anything in your surroundings changes, so do you.
