A pagan is generally defined as a follower of a nature religion that is not part of Christianity, Islam, or Judaism
Wicca is then a subset of paganism. Wicca is a word first used around 50 years ago or so to define a type of religion reconstructed from what is thought to have been practiced by witches in ancient times

the word pagan comes from latin "rural" it means basically anyone who is of a native earth based religion.

wicca is a new religion that is based on the pagan beliefs of medieval england.

I am knew know little of Wiccan, what I know is that it is not Pagan, pagans hve no real Gods. Wiccans place Mother Earth above all.
This I learned in Salem Massechussets at the Witch Museum.
I also saw the graves of those women hoe were put ti death in horrible ways..

Although i am studying the Wiccan way i am trying to it my way.  I celebrate the God and godess at my rituals but i do not name them and i do not worship any particilar deities.
The path i have chosen suits me and it does no harm to others. I also would never disrespect other faiths. I make no secret of the fact that i was devout Chrsitian and although i used to constantly argue with ministers ( i am very lucky that i have 5 church minister as personal close friends)  I took my faith very seriously.

If you are considering taking the wiccan path then i urge to look at it properly do expect instant answers and do not spend to much money use libraries and the internet carefully and ask question from those around you.

Good luck in all you do.

And always remember

Suryat Naya Paro Dharma", "There is no religion higher than Truth"

Good luck on your chosen pathways

BB

Kim
