Boston Brown Bread
Ingredients for one 2-pound loaf:
1 cup buttermilk -- plus 3 tablespoon
1/3 cup molasses
3 tablespoons oil
1 1/4 cups rye flour
1 1/4 cups whole-wheat flour
1/4 cup vital-wheat gluten
1/4 cup cornmeal
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
4 teaspoons yeast
1/2 cup currants -- add at beep
Directions:
Place all ingredients in your machines fully assembled pan in the order specified by your bread maker.
