Breakfast Smoothie
Makes: 2 or 3 servings.

1/2 cup orange juice
1 banana
6-7 frozen strawberries
4-5 slices frozen peaches
5-6 frozen blueberries
6-7 ice cubes
1 tsp. honey (optional)

Place all ingredients except ice cubes in blender.
Puree until smooth.
Add ice, and puree again.
Pour into a glass and sprinkle nutmeg on top and garnish the
some fresh mint.

Almond Peach Smoothie

1 cup skim milk
1 cup sliced peaches
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup fat free frozen vanilla yogurt

Combine all ingredients in blender and process until smooth and creamy. This makes a great breakfast.

1 cup apple juice

2 cups frozen cherries



Pour liquid ingredients into the blender first.

Yogurt is a liquid ingredient.

Add cherries.

Put cover on and blend until smooth.

1 cup non-fat yogurt

1/3 cups blueberries (can be frozen)

1/3 cups strawberries (can be frozen)

2/3 cups ice

Blackberry Smoothie
 
3/4 cup apple juice

1-1/2 cups frozen blackberries
1 banana

Combine apple juice and yogurt in the blender first.
Add fruit. Put cover on and blend until smooth.
Makes 1 smoothie

Apricot Pineapple Smoothie Recipe
1/4 cup crushed pineapple
1 fresh apricot, diced
6 strawberries
1/2 banana
1 1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. skim milk powder
1 heaping tbsp. high- quality protein powder (optional)
1 tsp. flax seed oil (optional)

In a blender, process fruit with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until thoroughly mixed and serve.

Citrus Fruit Smoothies

Pina Colada Smoothie
1/2 cup chilled skim milk
1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
1/4 ripe banana, peeled and frozen
1/4 cup pineapple chunks, frozen
2-3 ice cubes

In a blender combine milk and extract. Add banana and pineapple. Add
ice cubes, one at a time. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Banana Brunch Punch recipe

6 medium ripe bananas

1 (12 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
3 cups warm water, divided
2 cups sugar, divided
1 (46 ounce) can pineapple juice
3 bottles (2 liters each) lemon-lime soda
Orange slices, optional

In a blender or food processor, blend bananas, orange juice and lemonade until smooth. Remove half of the mixture and set aside.

Add 1 1/2 cups of warm water and 1 cup sugar to mixture in blender; blend until smooth. Place in a large freezer container. Repeat with remaining banana mixture, water sugar; add to container. Cover and freeze until solid.

One hour before serving, take punch base out of freezer.

Just before serving, place in a large punch bowl. Add pineapple juice and soda; stir until well blended. Garnish with orange slices if desired.

Raspberry Sunrise Smoothie Recipe

    • 2 1/2 cups orange juice
    • 1 1/2 cups frozen raspberries
    • 1 cup raspberry sherbet

    Pour all liquid ingredients into the blender. Add all frozen ingredients. Blend at MIX setting for 30 seconds then blend at SMOOTH setting until smooth. While the machine is running, move the stir stick around counter-clockwise to aid mixing. Serve immediately. Each recipe serves 3-5.

Banana Breakfast Shake

1 1/2 cups fat free skim or 1% lowfat milk
1 peeled and sliced medium banana, frozen
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
1/4 teaspoon almond extract, optional
cinnamon for garnish, optional

In a blender container, combine all ingredients, except cinnamon. Blend until smooth, about 20 seconds. Pour into glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, if desired.

Morning Glory Fruit Shake
 
2 cups sliced bananas
2 cups sliced strawberries
2 cups chopped pineapple
1 cup chopped peeled apples
1/2 cup ice cubes
1 tsp honey
 
In a blender, combine bananas, strawberries, pineapple, apples, ice cubes and honey.  Puree on high speed until smooth.

Brunch Hot Raspberry Cider

Ingredients



8 cups fresh apple cider

1 cup frozen raspberry juice concentrate, thawed

1/4 cup sugar

1 cinnamon stick

Directions

Combine cider, juice, sugar and cinnamon stick in a 4-qt.

saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture

simmers. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat.

Remove stick, and serve hot. Transfer to a crockpot and keep setting

on Low to serve throughout your brunch.

Makes 8 cups.
