Whipping Cream Grits
Paula Deen
1/2 c. regular grits (not instant or quick grits)
1 tsp. salt
4 T. butter, at room temperature
1/4 c. whipping cream, at room temperature
In a nonstick saucepan with a lid, bring 2 c. water to
a boil. Stir in the grits and salt and whisk well.
Place the lid on the pot, reduce the heat to the
lowest possible temperature, and cook for 10 to 12
minutes, until the grits are thick.
When the grits are thick, stir in the butter and
whipping cream. Serve immediately.
