Creamy Spam Mushroom Sandwiches
1 cn Spam luncheon meat - (12 oz); finely cubed
1 cn Condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c Shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 c Chopped onion
12 sl Bread; toasted
In a bowl, combine Spam, soup, cheese and onion. Spread mixture on toasted bread. Place on a baking sheet. Broil 4 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

This recipe yields 12 servings

Curried Pocket Sandwiches
1 cn Spam luncheon meat - (12 oz); cubed
1/2 c Chopped water chestnuts
1/2 c Sliced green onions
1 cn Crushed pineapple in juice (8 oz); drained
1/4 c Mayonnaise
1/4 c Chutney
1 ts Curry powder
3 Pita bread rounds; cut in half

Toppings:


Chopped peanuts
Toasted coconut
Alfalfa sprouts

In bowl, combine first 7 ingredients. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour. Spoon mixture into pita bread halves. Serve with desired toppings.

This recipe yields 6 servings.

Denver Spam Sandwiches
1 cn Spam luncheon meat - (12 oz); cut small pieces
1/4 c Finely-chopped onion
1 tb Vegetable oil
4 Eggs; beaten
8 sl Bread; toasted
In small skillet, cook and stir Spam pieces and onion in oil until onion is tender. Pour beaten eggs into skillet. Cook over low heat just until set. Cut into four wedges; turn. Cook until light brown. Serve each wedge between two bread slices.

This recipe yields 4 servings.

Easy Pizza Burgers
1 cn Spam, ground (12 oz.)
1 lg Can hormel chili without beans
2 c American cheese, shredded
1/2 c Onion, chopped
Mix all ingredients together. Spread on open-faced hamburger bun. Place on cookie sheet and broil in oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges are brown. Serves 4.

Spam and Egg Sandwich Spread
1 cn Spam luncheon meat - (7 oz); finely chopped
4 Hard-cooked eggs; finely chopped
1/4 c Mayonnaise
2 tb Chopped celery
2 tb Chopped green pepper
1 ts Minced onion
1 ts Prepared mustard
Freshly-ground black pepper; to taste
Blend all ingredients. Cover and refrigerate until serving time. Spread on your favorite bread, crackers, or toasted English muffins.

Grilled Garden Spam Salad Sandwich
1 cn Spam luncheon meat - (12 oz); finely cubed
1 c Shredded Swiss cheese - (4 oz); divided
1/2 c Thinly-sliced celery
1/2 c Chopped green bell pepper
1/3 c Mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/2 ts Dried thyme leaves
12 sl Caraway rye bread
1/4 c Butter or margarine; softened
1 Tomato; thinly sliced
1 sm Onion; thinly sliced, and separated into rings
In bowl, combine Spam, 1/2 cup of the Swiss cheese, celery, bell pepper, mayonnaise, and thyme; mix well.

Spread each bread slice on one side with butter. Spread 1/2 cup of the Spam mixture on unbuttered side of 6 bread slices. Top each with tomato slices, onion rings, and about 1 tablespoon of the remaining 1/2 cup Swiss cheese. Top with remaining bread slice, buttered-side up.

In skillet or griddle over medium heat, grill sandwiches until cheese melts and both sides are golden brown.

This recipe yields 6 servings.

1 cn Pineapple rings - (8 oz) drained
4 sl American cheese
4 Hamburger buns; split, toasted
Brown Spam slices in skillet. Place 2 Spam slices on each bottom half of hamburger bun. Top with pineapple ring and cheese slice. Cover sandwich with top half of bun.

Hollywood Open Face
1/2 c Sour cream
1/2 ts Dillweed
1/4 ts Salt
1 Butter; softened
4 sl White bread
1 Lettuce
8 sl Spam
8 sl Cheddar cheese
1 Radishes; sliced
Stir sour cream, dill and salt together, chill for several hours. Butter bread, and cover with lettuce. Spread 2 tb sour cream mixture on lettuce. Place 2 slices Spam on each sandwich. Top with 2 cheese slices, garnish with radishes.

Hot Spamwich
1 cn Spam, sliced (7 oz.)
1 sl Onion
1 sl Tomato
2 sl Cheddar cheese
2 tb Habanero sauce
1 Onion roll, split
In a skillet, brown Spam. On bottom half of roll place 2 tablespoons of habanero sauce and 2 slices of Spam. Lay 2 slices of cheddar crosswise. Microwave until cheese just begins to melt, about 1 minute. Add 1 slice of onion and tomato. Cover with top half of roll. Microwave 10 seconds longer.

Melted Spam And Cheese Poppyseed Sandwiches
1/2 c Butter or margarine
3 tb Prepared mustard
1 tb Poppy seed
8 sl Cracked wheat bread
1 cn Spam luncheon meat - (12 oz); cut 8 slices
4 sl American cheese
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In bowl, mix together butter, mustard, and poppy seed. Spread butter mixture on bread slices.

Place 2 slices of Spam on 4 bread slices. Top Spam with 1 slice of cheese. Cover with remaining bread slices.

Wrap sandwiches in foil. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

This recipe yields 4 servings.

1/4 c Cole slaw
4 Lettuce leaves
1 Thick slice of tomato
2 Dill pickle spears quartered
1 Slab of Sharp Cheddar
2 Thick slices Bermuda Onion
1 (2 liter) Coke(tm)

Optional Equipment:


Plate
Napkin
Glass
NFL Sunday game -or- WWF match

Assemble all components, slice in two if desired, chow down

A Good Hot Sandwich - lindah
 
 1      cup           cubed American cheese
    3                    hard-cooked eggs -- chopped
    1      can           Spam -- cubed
    2      tablespoons   chopped green bell pepper
    2      tablespoons   chopped onion
    2      tablespoons   chopped green olives
    2      tablespoons   chopped sweet pickle
      1/2  cup           mayonnaise

Combine all ingredients; mix well.  Put into hamburger buns and wrap each
sandwich in foil.  Bake at 325F for 30 minutes.

Spam Burgers

1 can Spam or 12 oz. ham
1 (8 oz.) Velveeta cheese
1 small green pepper
1 onion
¼ cup red wine vinegar
½ cup chili sauce
½ tsp. dry mustard
3 tbsps. packed brown sugar

Grind Velveeta with onions and green pepper. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Split 6 buns in half. Spread mixture on each half. Refrigerate. Bake at 325° for 15 minutes.
