This topic made me think of this because my Dad had surgery and was staying here with me and kids last week and he also has lung problems, and I had to make this for him, he swears that it works (better with whiskey lol, but they say it works either way).  Also, the honey by itself works well for a scratchy throat, but the thing is, once you open the jar, you have to refrigerate it, and so then when you need some, you have to take it out ahead of time and let it set and get room temperature.

 

Cough Remedy, Remedy for a Scratchy or Sore Throat

 

1 part Honey

1 part Lemon Juice

1 part Whiskey

 

For a Scratchy Throat:

1 T honey
