Shopping?  All tied up in wrapping and bows?  Watching TV?  Baking?  Eating?  Gone to the movies?  Sleeping?
You must all be doing something because you're not HERE!! LOL!!

My sister has been visiting for the past 9 days and finally left this morning.  Love having her, but it was time......if ya know what I mean.  I'm such a creature of habit I always miss my "routine" and now I can get back to it and also get something done around here.  The house is a mess, clothes piled up so high it will take me days to wash them all!  And then there's all the holiday stuff I need to get done.  Whew!  Next week is going to be busy, busy, busy!!

Jonesy, congratulations to Allen on getting the job!!  I know that's a huge relief for you both.  Christmas?  I've bought a few gifts, but that's it!  I probably won't even have the house decorated by Thanksgiving like I usually do.

Emm, what were the results of Will's ultrasound?

Bubu, so sorry to hear about your aunt.  How is she doing?

I've been "semi" busy.......when I have the energy to do anything at all! LOL!!  I think all the clutter in my house is getting me down.  We need a storage space for about half of the crap we have, then maybe I could get organized!

I'm having such a hard time posting...this will be the last one until later.  Slower than molasses if it even lets me in.

I've started decorating and have a good start on the upstairs.  I will be decorated before Thanksgiving and then all I do is the tree after.  I've got a few presents left to get and then I'm done.  Allen is the hard one.  Melissa so easy.  They still have lot's of presents but nothing expensive.  Just a lot of little things.  The only thing I want is a sewing machine.  I haven't had one in years and I would love to start some quilting or just have one when I need it.  They're so expensive though!

I'm headed to Cougar for a girls weekend.  There should be about 14 of us.  We're going to have a dart shoot on Friday night so that should be fun and Sat. will be a very lazy day for me.  I can only do one night and then I'm pretty mellow the next day.

Things are still sooooo bad at the shop.  We've barely squeaked by the last two months.  Are total sales is down about $150,000 for the year.  It's been bad since January.  I pray to god things turn around.  People are scared and hanging onto their money.

Yeah Emm, what did you find out?

Sandy, have you heard from Scarlet?  I wonder what the heck she's up too.  Do you have her email to let her know about the new sites we've been trying out.

I will be so glad when this year is over. Our little cat Maggie had to be put to sleep on Monday. She was diagnosed with a tumor on Thursday and just went down hill. The vet said we would have a few weeks, but Maggie just stopped eating and drinking and decided to control her own future I guess. She wasn't doing too well Monday morning and by the afternoon we knew if we waited any longer she would be in pain. I'm happy that she is no longer hurting, but I miss that little fur ball.

AWWW Caz, I am so sorry about Maggie. Sounds like she didn't have to suffer too long so that is good for her but it is hard for you since it happened so fast. Animals become such a part of your family, it is so sad when they are gone. (((BIG HUGS))).

Thanks Sandy, I talked to my mom this weekend and she was released from the hospital on friday. They said she has congestive heart failure, so they put her on medication to prevent clotting and other med to release excess fluid. She needs to have the stress out of her life, so I am glad they finally sold my other aunt's house and she may have the money she needs to live on. Now if she can just get her son straightened out. He was diagnosed as bipolar and he has trouble staying on his meds. He finally got a  new job so hopefully he can get it together.

Aw son, sorry about losing your Maggie.  It's so hard to put them down.  I bawled like an idiot when I had to do it.

Glad things will be better for your aunt Bubu.  How old is her son?  Does he need to live with her?  So many people being diagnosed anymore with ADHD and bipolar.  I'm baffled about it.

Jonesy, her son is 45 and he doesn't live with her but after what he said at the wedding he may be moving in.  He made a remark like I don't know where I  am going to be living soon. I kind of pretended I didn't hear because I had no clue what was going on and was afraid to ask.If my aunt is smart she will remain firm but I know she won't. She already has her money grubbing daughter living there that stuck her for her mortgage. She is the reason my poor aunt has no money. My aunt is too soft hearted, she can't say no to her kids even to her own detriment.

I just got something I ordered from half.com or should I say I got an empty packing box.   The post office here in MA said they received the package damaged and empty. So somewhere between here and Georgia there is a copy of A Thouand SPlendid SUns on CD. Sandy can you check in your state.I just fired off an email to the seller.I am not worried, they usually are good about following through.

Well What am I doing? Not going to the gym, that is for sure. I finally bought a dvd that involves some amount of dance and works your core and am trying that. So far, I find it fun but difficult. I am not coordinated, so if she goes real slow and does one body part at a time but whenever she increases speed and starts to use arms as well as hips, well forget about it!!  LOL! I am breaking a huge sweat so it must be doing something and I laugh while doing it.  If I can get myself to keep doing this on a regular basis and see results, I will quit the gym. It is only $10/month so I hate to give it up unless I am sure.

Jonesy, how is Allen's new job going? I am so glad he found something.  I hope the business picks up. I am so sorry you are being hit so bad by the economic downturn. Is there something else you can do as a sideline that people may do instead of fully remodeling their kitchen?
Is Missy still teaching the same grade (was it first grade? Sorry can't remember)? How did her students from last year react to the pictures she took of the African kids who got the quilts they made?

Sandy, I bet your whole house is already decorated for CHristmas already.  Everytime I see a Jim Shore Santa I think of you.

Caz, did you win your case for the parking ticket? You had to have, NY judicial system can't be that dumb!lol.

No word on the parking ticket yet. I keep expecting to see something arrive in the mail. I really wish I could see the reaction to whoever has to judge the ticket.

We spent the weekend painting the living room. Almost the same red that was on the walls, but a little darker. The trim work is a pain, we primed all the raw wood from where the last owners started to strip the paint, but the old stain keeps bleeding through. Last night we finally saw some change. I think there are enough coats of paint on it now that the paint can finally start to cover things up like its supposed to. We had some help over the weekend, and thank God they were there or we would still be painting windows and doors. All those window panes take some time.

And it's a cold one here.........21 degrees!  Wish there was some snow to go with it.

Sandy, I bet your whole house is already decorated for CHristmas already.
You would lose that bet Bubu!  I haven't got out the first thing for Christmas and probably won't until after Thanksgiving.  Having a hard time getting with it this year.

Caz, I'm so sorry to hear about Maggie.  I know how hard it is to let go of a pet.  Didn't you get some snow a few days ago?

We're having our Thanksgiving dinner at church today.  Spent about 3 hours yesterday at church with the other gals making stuffing, sweet potatoes and my "pink stuff, cloud, delight"....or whatever someone wants to call it! LOL!!  I never really had a name for it, but others have giving it a name.  We'll all meet there again today at 1:00 to finish up and be ready to serve about 160 a turkey dinner!  Turkey, dressing, green beans, corn, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, pink stuff and pies!  Probably won't be home until around 8:00pm.

I'll keep up with Sandy's theme.  We don't have snow but it's definately chilly.I love it though, it makes me want to clean the house...LMAO

Sandy, you have a place in heaven for all that you do.  Last year I tried to find out how to volunteer to do the soup kitchens through the holidays and it was like asking for an act of congress.  No one would reply.  I thought I could just say I wanted to do it and they would jump at the chance.  After awhile I just got frustrated and did donations to childrens causes.

You two paint more than anyone I know son.  If you sell that house, they'll have to dynamite to get the paint off

I have mom this week and did all of her running around yesterday.  I was so exhausted with that and the bad news...get to that in a minute.  I couldn't even make it do dance last night.  My shut in aunt that I take care of had blood work on the 10th and in a matter of a year she now is a borderline diabetic and in stage three of kidney failure.  I was so stressed about what the heck I'm going to do that I was wore out.

I just can't take her in and take care of her but she will fight tooth and nail about going into a home.  You can be in stage three for a long time or a short time.  When you get to stage 5 you go on dialysis and then kidney transplant.  At her age I don't know if she could even get on a list.

I love those dance tape exercises Bubu.  You can do them in the comfort of your home and I think I might look into them again.  I haven't been to Curves for three months, I just couldn't afford it but I want to get back and will find a way...I felt soooo much better when I was going.

Well all I have left for my Christmas shopping is a clothes rack for my mom and my coworkers.  I got my sisters a turntable that converts your old LPs to a CD. I got an amazing deal from Amazon. I twas a little more than I planned to spend but not by much and it gave them a quality top of the line product for much less.  I didn't think they would end up using the cheaper model as it involved a whole lot more work to it. They would have to drad it out to the computer, hook it up, play the album to down loa it to the computer. Then they had to burn it to the CD. No way they have time to do all that.
My mom's coat rack is easy, I know the style I want and where I can order it. I just want to check out Pier One Imports first.  Then I will buy her some bargain books at Barnes and Noble. (Yippee my favorite shopping is Barnes and Noble. I could spend all day in there) . I already got her a pasta maker she wanted for her Kitchenaid mixer.

I am working this CHristmas and ThanksgivingIt was impossible for me to go home for CHristmas even with not having to work the holiday. So I checked with my family and they rather have me come home New Years and get time around CHristmas than Thanksgiving.  SO I told my boss I would do both under the condition I go home for the next two Christmases and get the time Ineed for New years. Of course there is no way to hole him to it, but since I am the one that helps him out when he has a computer problem or a coverage problem, he knows that would end.I am putting in for both really early and remind him of the deal as well.
So since I am not going home for the holiday, I decided not to buy any presents this year for me. I want it to be a cheaper year since I bought the car. All I will get are new curtains for my kitchen because I need them. I am resisting the urge for a Kindle from Amazon!

We finished painting! We had to apply another two coats of kilz over the paint we had already put on the crown molding, and last night Chris added a coat of paint and the bleeding stopped and the room is done! I can get the living room furniture out of the dining room and be able to use the dining room for Thanksgiving!

I am off to NY tomorrow morning for a three day weekend. Yippee! I am exhausted though so I kind of regret saying I would go but I'll be fine once I get there. Sunday is going to be a bear coming back with all that traffic.  Have a fun safe weekend. Be careful if you go to the malls this weekend.  Actually good luck if you go anywhere near a mall this weekend, lol
