Thank you for your support of our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines!  You are truly a gem in our eyes!  Especially in mine!

Here is a great idea:

When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card
and send it to this address.  If we pass this on and everyone sends one
card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have
sacrificed so much would get. When you are making out your Christmas
card list
this year, please include the
following:

          A Recovering American Soldier

c/o Walter Reed Army Medical  Center
         6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
         Washington,D.C. 20307-5001

If you approve, please pass it on.

Here it is , a friend sent it to me.Her hubby was a Navy Seal for many years then left the service when they started a family.

Jonesy, the funny part is I gave up Vet school because I loved the military!  I intended to fulfill my grandfathers wishes for each generation to serve and then continue with my dream but the military changed my dreams.

My great grandparents came to the US from Germany in the early 1900's.  My grandfather enlisted, was one of the first paratroopers and jumped into WWII Germany to fight against possible family members.  He was wounded at least twice I know of and never talked about it until I was older.  He always just said he did what he had to do.

I tip my hat and salute all the young men and women serving and joining up today.  It just shows me this generation is also ready to step up and carry on.

To all that support these troops I again salute you.  However, behind every good soldier there is a supportive family and I also salute them.  A military spouse many times goes through more hardships than does the soldier as they sit and wait to see if their loved ones will come home again.  That has truly got to be the hardest job of all.

Soldiers love to hear positive responses from anyone.  Keep sending the cards, you'll make them even stronger!
