Last night I was downstairs sitting on the couch watching football when movement out of the corner of my eye caught my attention. I looked slowly and a small mouse was coming into view. Well, he ran back and forth in front of the tv and I was wondering where the hell is my cats. He was playing around so I started making noises by sucking air in between my teeth. He would pause and look around and then continue to play. I finally let him know I was there and he ran under the door into a small area that is besides the steps leading upstairs. However, he continued to run out, look at me and when I made a sound would run for cover. I figured where there is one there could be a lot more over time so I went and got a trap, baited it and set it for him.
This morning I went down and the trap was flipped over. I thought I got him and when I flipped it over it was empty. The bait was gone and so was the mouse. I know Harry Houdini was from Wisconsin so I wonder if this was him coming back to bug me. lol No sign of him tonight but the trap is set again. Now the mouse and I shall play two versions of my favorite shows - Survivor and The Amazing Race. I have nicknamed the mouse "Frat Mouse" and "Randy" and now Jeff just gave me immunity! Let the games begin and I am definitely going to send him to Exile Island but never ever to return again!
LMAO Smitty. I think my mouse was the Houdine though as he could eat the peanut butter off the trap without flipping it. I mean lick it clean off!!! I got a rat zapper where in order for him to get to the food he had to walk all the way into the box onto a metal plate where he would be electrocuted before he reached his goal. Worked like a charm. I can send you the link when I get home if you like. It is cheap only $24 I think but you need industrial AA batteries. I found someplace that sold them in bulk for cheap. Worth every penny. WOW your mouse is bold to have him come out when you are there ,yikes.
Here you go Smitty. WOrks like magic. The other traps wouldn't work. Glue traps probably would but I can't stand them , don't want the poor thing to suffer and they do. We had one at work and the tech, who was one tough lady, was practicvally in tears the next morning because she heard it struggling all night. Good thing I wasn't at work, I would have had to call someone in,lol
lmao, you guys are funny. I may try that zapper but so far no sign of the little guy. I noticed the cat (Cosmo - named after Kramer from Seinfeld) I found at work is now patrolling the basement. Who knows, maybe he nailed him.
I too have no desire for the mouse to suffer a long delayed ending, I just wanted him out of the house. I also thought he was bold to keep showing his face but who knows, maybe I was the first human he ever saw and thought I was his version of his HBO entertainment package! lol
