I just watched the pig episode last night. Could have done without it myself. I hadn't seen any of the previews and was confused about the little announcement about no animals being hurt during the filming. I gagged when he started the "training". |

Do you think they were real pigs. With all the incredible special effects stuff they do, it really never dawned on me that they would be real pig's. They just seemed to stiff and still. I still didn't care to watch it though. Wow, the new guy is taking over where Dr. Hahn left off and is it my imagination or is his name Hahn too. I keep hearing them call him Dr. Hahn |

The pigs were NOT real! Here's a part of the writer's blog from last week: First things first. No animals were harmed in the filming of my episode. None. I know ABC ran that thing before the show started that told you that, but I figured you should hear it from me too. Those four pigs were entirely and utterly fake. Fake, fake, fake. From their little piggy tails to their glistening piggy snouts, they were nothing but plastic and fiberglass and possibly straw for the whiskers. Even their breathing was fake. It came courtesy of some guy who stood just off camera and pumped an air hose (or something similarly technical that I couldn’t explain in a million years). What WAS real is the issue of using animals to teach and perfect surgical technique. Like Derek says in the episode, it’s not ideal, but a lot of hospitals in this country use live animals for procedures where surgical mannequins have yet to successfully replicate trauma to humans. Things like blood volume loss ?something else I probably couldn’t explain in a million years. So........that was the end of Dr. Hahn??? She just doesn't come back to work at the hospital? How in the world are they going to explain that? I think there she had to have really pissed someone off to get cut like that! There were a lot of problems with Burke and they at least took time to "write" him out of the show! Jonesy, his name is Owen Hunt. I didn't blame him one bit for blowing up at Alex and Christina! The way they were acting and treating that "patient" was appalling!! I'm getting pretty tired of Christina horning in on M/D's relationship too. That therapist a few weeks ago hit the nail on the head when she told Christina it must really hurt for Mer to be in a relationship. Poor Izzie. What a load of guilt to deal with! I hope she can manage to put the Denny thing behind her and move on. |

I couldn't find the original story but here is another. There is a follow up statement by the shows creator saying it wasn't the gay storyline but they don't really say the cause. I think it was mixture of that and the fact Hahn wasn't popular. I hope she doesn't report the hospital though. Isn't heigl supposed to leave? Is this how they will write her out? |

The whole Denny thing was confusing to me and then Izzy kissing him in the end as if he was real...I don't get it. It's so nice to see a tender side of Krev and how he wanted to help Izzy through her dilema. Not sure what to think about the new addition..Mer's friend. The one thing I'm having trouble with is understanding her when she's talking. Her accent is really strong and hard to follow. She's a bit macabre. I'm glad that Christina but an end to the interns cutting and stitching themselves up. Hello, do you know you'll have scars now!! Dr Dixon...was that her name. Wow, she was interesting. Children with Aspergers are usually hight intelligent so I can picture her being a surgeon. Melissa had a little girl in her class with it and although she was socially disfunctional, she was very bright. Correct me Emm but isn't it a form of Autism? |

I think the Izzie/Denny story line is absolute garbage but no doubt the writers are preparing for Izzie's exit from the show via a nervous breakdown.
To tell ya the truth I think this show is on a fast slide into the sewer. Certainly bringing in Boston Legal type oddballs will not resurrect it.
Humbug I say! |

LOL It isn't Gerard Butler who plays Denny but Jeffrey Dean Morgan who I confuse with him all the time. Imagine my frustration when both appeared in PS I love you! I am not happy with this episode. If you need to write Izzie off the show because Heigl thinks she is the cats meow, then just have her take a better job offer or fall in love and move to another state or give her a brain tumor and kill her off. Can you tell I do not like this actress or character at all? I thought I was hiding it well, lol. |

Yeah, the Izzie/Denny thing was really strange. I think it's going to end up that she's really making love to Alex as she envisions that it's Denny. Is she leaving the show? I hope not, I like her character on the show and would really miss her. I'm not liking Christina much this season! They way she treats her interns is ridiculous! And I don't like how she's trying to sabotage Derek and Mer's relationship. And now she'll have Sadie to be jealous of too. Jonesy, yes........Aspergers is a milder form of Autisum. But......a heart surgeon with Aspergers?? C'mom........I'm like Jakey, don't want to see a bunch of strange characters on this show.......and that's definitely strange! |

Oh, I totally agree that her character is not one I want to see every week. I think they went a bit over the top with it too. Christina is a b8tch this season. Maybe when she falls in love with the "other wierd character this season", she will back off. |

I'm just not sure about Dr. Dixon. She's a little annoying and too abrupt. I'm afraid I would've taken her down if she came into my hospital room and talked like that while I had a family member dying in the bed...affliction or not, not a good bedside manner. OK, Denny really needs to go to his resting place and let Izzy get on with her life..the whole great sex thing with no one there is a bit bizarre. So they get rid of one lesbian relationship to start up another..not getting that either other than this character is more likeable than Hahn. |

Dr. Dixon bugs me too. The actress is doing a great job at portraying someone with Asberger's, but I think it's one more thing in an already busy season that already has a few too many quirks.
I wish just once, they would show a couple that actually gets along and doesn't require all the friggin drama to make it interesting. Heck, if they want to do a wierd couple, make them boring. That would stand out with the Der/Mer, Izzie/Alex/Dead guy and the beginnings of Lesbian II and Christina /Army Doc. |
