They've had some pretty good accidents when they've had to drive themselves and wasn't one of them in the last season with a girl driving. Maybe lawsuits, etc not so much from contestants but maybe damage they've done also coupled with syrocket fuel prices. I felt absolutely horrible for T and D. They should've been in the top three and this should've been a non elimination. I thought he would run screaming after the cab but we don't actually know what time elapsed before he realized that he didn't have it. It seemed like seconds. I think in a case like that with passports involved the camera man should've stepped in..losing money is one thing but that's different. I will never forgive MB for letting Michael Skupin lay in that fire while filming it and not do something to help. |

First of all frat boys, it's not ORYGUN, it's Oregon. I had never heard of Tilikum and it is tricky finding Newburg if your a foreigner driving a cab. What a beautiful City in a beautiful state. It was so fun knowing all the places they were going to. Do you know why they call it the bridge of the Gods? Because it's a freaken scary bridge and whenever I've had to cross it over to Washington, I close my eyes and pray to God we make it. The sides of the bridge are actually only as high as the bottom of the window on the car door. I hate that bridge. I've had a few snacks at the Alder street food cart pods..You're kind of taking your life and health in your own hands when eating there however. Never heard of the Voodoo doughnut and had that girl not overheard the guy telling Nick and Starr, the time between the teams would've been completely different. The Pittock Mansion is beautiful and overlooks downtown Portland. The Pittock Mansion was home to Portland pioneers Henry and Georgiana Pittock from 1914 to 1919. During the late 1800s and the early 1900s, their lives and work paralleled the growth of Portland from a small Northwest town site to a thriving city with a quarter million population. With its eclectic architectural design and richly decorated interior, including family artifacts, the Pittock Mansion stands today as a living memorial of this family's contributions to the blossoming of Portland and its people.
Note: Pittock Mansion is partially wheelchair accessible. The wheelchair entrance is located on the lower level and the lower level is accessible to all parties. But the sad thing is...Toni and Dallas were obviously missing from the ending. I wonder if they are still stuck in Russia because of not having their passports...That's horrible. I wish Phil would've said something. I was hoping to see Starr and Dallas hugging at the end too. Great finish, and a great place to finish. |

Found this about Toni and Dallas. Dallas said the cab driver turned it in at the Embassy, late that night 12/07/08 06:19 PM type=text/javascript>var addthis_pub = 'JokersUpdates';</SCRIPT> src="http://s9.addthis.com/js/widget.php?v=10" type=text/javascript></SCRIPT> Embassy didn't open until after the flight out of Russia, and then they had to do whatever it is they do to prove that it's your passport and get it back. So they likely didn't fly out until the next day |

For you Jonsey, It seems that it was filmed back in May. I'm guessing that next season has already been shot and is being edited. |

I'm so glad Nick and Starr won! They ran a consistantly good race and deserved it! I thought of you, Jonesy, when they said they were going to Oregon.......and how cool it was that you knew some of the places they were going! Found a few more articles with stuff about Toni and Dallas: |

Good articles and I'm glad that Toni and Dallas ended up not making it to the final three. That would even be a worse blow to make it and then be told you can't continue...just to bad that it ended that way for them. Yes Scott, it is beautiful here because of all the rain. It's lush and green. The Columbia River Gorge where the bridge of the Gods is breathtaking to say the least and wind surfers from all over the world come there (more near The Dalles) to play. Forgot to add that it was a very touching moment for Tina & Ken and I reallly did start liking them towards the end. |

I had watched the show on time delay as I was finishing up something and didn't want to only pay half attention to it. So I started watching it and I was getting so nervous that I couldn't stand it and fast forwarded it to live tv to see who won, lol. I was so happy to see it was Starr and Nick. I was wondering why they didn't focus on Starr and Dallas. Now I know they weren't there. Makes sense though. Then I went back and watched and could relax. I had to laugh how they were both worried about where each other were but no one was concerned where the frat boys were. Jonesy, Oregon is absolutely breathtaking. When they were doing the zip line there were views that werre breathtaking as he zipped down. Why was Ken doing it upside down? Seemed dumb to me and might actually slow him down. I don't know how any of them could have done that question and answer test. How do you remember any of it when at the time you were rushing like mad between places barely seeing anything? LOL I agree the Dweebs probably never finished that task, they probably told them to quit as the race was already won. |

What a great finish..and I'm glad they finished the race in Sunny Northern California. what an amazing place... tee hee.
Overall, the top two teams were the two best teams of the season and either one deserved to win because they were the best players...though, this season had a lot of flaws because of all the mistakes made by each and every team. I think it must hold a record for most mistakes ever by teams and by cabbies... I guess we now have figured out why we didn't see to many teams have cars of their own...when they were in Portland you saw a gas station and prices were at $4.15 a gallon for regular....so, if it was $4.15 here that means it was at least double that per gallon everywhere else...also, since this was filmed about 6 months back or so the dollar was very weak, and I believe it was 1 Euro= $1.60 US so, that hurt as well...so, it was cheaper on the budget taking cabs.
Shame that Toni and Dallas couldn't have been at the finish line...but that's what happens when you lose your passports. I'm going to have to agree with I think it was sis, that the camera man should have said something. I know they have to act like they aren't really there and be neutral but, I could understand if they left their bags in a cab by accident, or like the Frat Dummies leaving their shoes at a place...that's fine them not saying anything. But, when it comes to those fanny packs where they have their passports, they really need to say something because a passport is very important.....
Anyway, as always a great season though, they seemed to spend less days on the road (I think they said 23 days) and went to fewer countries...its still a fun show to watch. Thank God the Frat Boys didn't win... |

They probably didn't want to use the money for cab fare or maybe by the time they reached the pitstop the place would be closed. WHy not buy a cheap pair of shoes where they are staying though? Gas here for regular is 1.79. I buy mid range so it is 1.88 . I was over then moon when it only cost me $20 to fill my tank as oppossed to $35 |

I'm not sure but it seemed like they had to walk in that costume for 8 blocks, so 16 blocks for two healthy guys is not a "cab necessary" trip. Of course the first 8 blocks would have been barefoot! How did they get their backpacks? I don't recall seeing them on their back while in costume. They could have shoved the shoes in the backpack real easily instead of just leaving them. I'm guessing they had ran out of money until the beginning of the next leg so that's why they didn't buy them somewhere besides the airport gift shop. |
