Aha
I finally had time to play when the dogs woke me up at 4:30 am so I finally figured out how to make the Aimoo site Private
Aimoo support did reply almost immediately after I requested support.
YES I have tested it. I created a user name called emmstest and emmstest2 and was able to deny advanced membership and joining the site to the 2nd user name.

Played with a custom background but it might be to busy depending on your screen size
I'm on 1280x1024 but it might block stuff if your running 1024x768

hey emm

if you can make it a private site and it came down to a choice then I would have to say my preference would lie with Aimoo.
But I'll go with whatever you folks decide.

Cheers

I went to aimoo this morning and lo and behold, I have a forum listed that I am a member of that I never asked to join. Remember  the email I got the first day from Anthing2u that I asked about? Well I deleted their email but somehow I eneded up a member of their group. I can't find anyway to unjoin a group. I emaile her back and said to remove me but if they were sleazy enough to join me up without permission, I don't see them unjoining me

I'm with Jakey. If it can be made private and everything else is cool, my preference is Aimoo too.

But again, whatever is decided is ok by me.

I am not the only person having this problem. Both of us have never asked to be a member of this group and it is the same group for both of us.  I really think they need to let us have the ability to unjoin a group.
