IE 7 Requirements

So, we've been talking about Internet Explorer 7 for quite a few days now and if you don't know what I'm talking about, you might be living under a rock. Along with everything that we've already told you, I believe we may have forgotten one of the most important parts: the system requirements for IE 7. If you're been wondering about that, read on!

First, to be able to use IE 7 correctly, you must have an operating system on Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1. Along with those, you must at least be using a computer with a 233MHz processor and a Pentium processor is recommended by Microsoft. But, wait! That's not all.

You need to have a certain amount of memory as well. For Windows XP SP2, you must have at least 87 MB of memory, for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, it's 168 MB and for Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, there must be 218 MB of memory on your PC. It's also best to have a CD ROM drive and a screen resolution of at least 800x600. Now, this all may sound a little demanding, but keep in mind that Microsoft is only suggesting these things. If your computer meets any or all of these requirements, you'll be able to use IE 7 to its full capacity!
