Martin Perry Studios is pleased to announce the next Martin Perry's Archive auction to begin immediately and end at 9PM EST on Monday evening the 12th of November 2007. {Please remember that Summertime has already ended in England and that Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday at 2AM here in the US}
The bidding will work thusly: Each bidder may only bid once on each item offered. In the case of an additional bid, only the first, regardless of the amounts bid, will be honoured.
Bids must be made to :

[email protected]

We will never reveal who has bid or who has won. The amount of the bids will remain private.
The highest bids will win in descending order...In case of matching bids, the time of the bid will be the determining factor.
Because these are colour prototypes, each one is unique. Martin has signed and numbered all of them and has pre-determined in what order they will be shipped.

Because of the nature of these auctions and because some winners have been difficult to reach, we will now require two contacts if you are using hotmail, yahoo or another free email.

HOWEVER, if you have bid and won previously, we already have your contact information and sending it again is not necessary UNLESS there have been changes made since you last won an auction.

When you bid, please always include your phone number. If a winning bidder does not replay to our email within 36 hours, the piece may be offered to the next highest bidder or may be offered in a later auction.

It is very seldom that any collectible line offers any of the first 10, of a numbered edition, to their collectors. These numbers are kept in house for a variety of reasons. ( Most usually for the company's archives or museum.) We will be offering, to those of you who are interested, the extremely rare opportunity of owning an edition number of 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 in a large variety of your favourite pieces. This opportunity started with the last auction and will continue for the foreseeable future.

These are the pieces available for bid in this, the 23rd Auction:

ORIGINAL KIN

Carved and Released as a Limited Edition of

2500 in 1997, this has never been officially retired.

However, good luck finding it at a dealer near you. An almost immediate sell out, this is one of the most popular HK pieces of all times. The following is taken in whole from the Harmony Ball H K website:

?/SPAN> Original Kin is third in the series of signed and numbered multi-compartment limited edition box figurines depicting the origin(s) of man: the biblical account, evolution, and the extraterrestrial theory. Adam and Eve bear resemblance to Peter and Andrea. The garden contains four palm and three deciduous trees. One is in full leaf, another has a tree spirit face, and the third a sign to the River Gihon. The River Pison is also depicted. Eve is being urged by the serpent to pick from the forbidden Tree of Conscience. Several fruits have already been eaten. Adam is carrying a book of animal names to assist him in his 9-5 job of naming the inhabitants of the garden. Adam bears the scar of the rib removal. Even the Garden of Eden does not escape the tin can pollution. And a dartboard, last seen on board Noah’s Lark, appears again. Peter’s pet cockatiel, Spike, is sitting on Adam’s shoulder and his dog, Murphy, is bursting through the undergrowth. The handbag looks suspiciously like snakeskin, or so the serpent surmises. Inside, Adam and Eve have packed a suitcase ready for banishment from the garden. In addition to clothes they will need, it contains their UK passports, and Dr. Who’s famous coloured scarf. The box figurine is also home to three dinosaurs, and eight aliens with their space ship. The mouse is hiding under the serpent. Each piece is hand-numbered, signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Hallmarks include ©, heart, HBC logo, and PC?/SPAN>.

MASKING REALITY

The event piece for the 9th Birthday Bash held in England in 2004. This was a Limited Edition of 200. Each guest was asked to wear a mask depicting one of the HK creatures and someone out there has some wonderful pictures taken at the ball. (If it’s you, please forward them to us at: [email protected])

?/SPAN>A litter of seven kittens are depicted on this Chesterfield armchair, modelled on Master Carver Monique Baldwin's new three-piece suite. Look hard to find the little hungry kitty searching for food! A daring mouse ventures onto the back of a sleeping grey kitten, but has already been spotted by a sharp-eyed puss. The interior features four tiny mice. This piece is signed and numbered.?

Harmony Ball’s HK Web Site says ?/SPAN>Seven puppies, rescued from an animal shelter, sit in comfortable security on a Chesterfield armchair. Two whippets, a dalmatian, a scottie, a westie, a shih tzu and a mongrel make up the serene seven. The shih tzu can smell food, as there is a bone hidden in the interior. The interior also features a ball in honour of Peter Calvesbert's crazy dog Murphy, who simply adores chasing balls. This piece is signed and numbered?
