Martin Perry Studios is pleased to announce the next Martin Perry's Archive auction to begin immediately and end at 9PM EST on Saturday evening the 22nd of December 2007.  The bidding will work  thusly: Each bidder may only bid once on each item offered.  In the case of an additional bid, only the first, regardless of the amounts bid, will be honoured.
Bids must be made to

We will never reveal who has bid or who has won.  The amount of the bids will remain private.
The highest bids will win in descending order...In case of matching bids, the time of the bid will be the determining factor.
Because some of these are colour prototypes, each one is unique.   Martin has signed and numbered all of them and has pre-determined in what order they will be shipped.

Because of the nature of these auctions and because  some winners have been difficult to reach, we will now require two contacts if  you are using hotmail, yahoo or another free email.

HOWEVER, if you have bid and won previously, we already have your contact information and sending it again is not necessary UNLESS there have been changes made since you last won an auction.
When you bid, please always include your phone number.  If a winning bidder does not replay to our email within 36 hours, the piece may be offered to the next highest bidder or may be offered in a later auction. (Because of Christmas, I will be happy to hear from you via phone at 757 722-1943 and will be happy to send a virtual Christmas card to anyone you like telling then of their forthcoming present.
It is very seldom that any collectible line offers any of the first 10, of a numbered edition, to their collectors.  These numbers are kept in house for a variety of reasons. ( Most usually for the company's archives or museum.)  We will be offering, to those of you who are interested, the extremely rare opportunity of owning an edition number of 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 (or in rare cases 7 or 9) in a large variety of your favourite pieces. This opportunity started with the last auction and will continue for the foreseeable future.

These are the pieces available for bid in this, the 24th Auction:
PICTURES AND DESCRIPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE FRAGILE WORLD MESSAGE BOARD
and
THE MSN HARMONY KINGDOM WORLD BOARD

IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF THE FW MESSAGE BOARD, YOU MAY JOIN BY LOGGING ON BELOW AND FOLLOWING THE PROMPTS AND THEN CLICKING ON THE EMAIL THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE FROM THE BOARD.  YOU MAY ALSO CONTACT ME AT: [email protected] FOR ASSISTANCE LOGGING ONTO THE BOARD AND/OR FOR ANY OTHER QUESTIONS.
Have a greyt day and happy bidding.

(This was the year that England played all the way to the World Cup
Quarter Finals in Japan...everywhere we went in the early morning
the pubs were full of screaming fans,  We should have gone further, the judging
was way off base!!)

(sorry...a few of these pictures suffer from a lack of being taken in the best of circumstances...their 'photo studio area' was usurped by Three Wise Men & a Partridge In a Pear Tree"

SHEBA'S SHIP
Released in October of 2000
with an edition size of 1750 this
was an exclusive to
The Harmony Kingdom Website has this to say:
"Decked out in a vintage diving suit, Sheba the cat is hauled from the seabed on a casket full of treasure but seems to have little interest in anything other than the fish in hand! 'Nuestra Senora de Atocha' carved on the chest is a reference to the largest and richest treasure to be found in history.'Nuestra Senora de Atocha' foundered in a hurricane 40 miles off the Florida Keys after leaving Cuba in 1622, hence 'Captain's log 1622' . Sheba has found a sack full of emeralds - part of the huge treasure cargo 'Nuestra' was carrying when she went down. "IOU £5.00" is carved in to the side of the chest. Rumour has it that Lorne and Adam had some sort of a bet, but what the bet was for and who won it, remains a mystery. Inside, Sheba is writing to Lorne Spicer, who regularly appears on the UK 'This Morning' and 'Find a Fortune' TV shows."

ROVER'S WRECK
Released as the companion piece to Sheba's Ship at the
same time and in the same LE of 1750, but available to select HK dealers, this
is what the HK site has to say about this piece. "Rover's Wreck is Sheba's partner in the treasure hunt. The captain's log appears in blue on this piece instead of Sheba's green. The treasure chest is brown against Sheba's grey find. Rover has a green cup whereas Sheba's is purple and whilst Rover is tackling a bone, Sheba prefers a fish. Rover has grey shoes and padlock whilst Sheba has green shoes and a brown padlock. Rover was not as lucky as Sheba who found a sack of emeralds."

Wouldn't it be wonderful if your bids obtained matching numbers?

They can both be found on the HK site & I'm working on
being able to post them here!

DAVID LAWRENCE
whom, many of you are aware, has, hopefully temporarily, stooped carving, has left us this legacy:
PIECES OF EIGHT
Carved in 1997, this was released in January of 1998
in a total edition of 5000.  There were approximately 2500 red and 2500 blue
with a few brown mixed in.  While not yet officially retired, I haven't heard of any being
found at a dealer's in a number of years. The depth of colour varies greytly with this piece. I've
seen pieces that range from light pink to deep crimson red and from barely blue to deep, deep blue.
They come without boxes and without the internal pirate's hat.  They are all signed and numbered by Martin Perry.
The staining is obviously different than the production pieces.  It looks to me as if it is an obvious work in
progress and is not perfect.  The HK web site has this to say about the production pieces,.
"This box figurine portrays colourful parrots. The interior features a twist off pirate’s hat, and the pirate’s bounty, coins. The acorn is tucked underneath a parrot’s tail. Three distinct colour variations were created though even more colour variations exist: brown, red, and blue. There were approximately 2,500 each of the red and blue versions and very few brown. Some artist proofs were released as well. Each piece is hand-numbered and bears the artist’s monogram. Hallmarks include ©, heart, HBC logo, ed.#, and DL."
We are offering all Artist Proofs with turquoise parrots and deep red berries. They are numbered 1 to 6

SPINDRIFT BIRDS
We have four Prototype Birds with carvings of doves and flowers. Two with pink flowers and one pink & yellow and one
with ivory flowers. The one with ivory flowers (numbered #1 of 4)  has crystal blue eyes & a green felt bottom.  They are
all numbered and signed by Martin Perry. They will be allotted, as always, by bid and not, I'm sorry, by request.

MARQUIS DE BLANC
Retired in 1996, this little guy is
both a box and a pendant.  His ears are drilled
to be able to string a cord to wear as a necklace.
We are offering 6 Prototypes signed and numbered by Martin Perry.
