Lost her Mother to bone cancer yesterday. It's been a very hard time for Lynda. They, Lynda and her brother, managed to keep her in her own home with the assistance of a wonderful Hospice group and a loving family. Lynda hasn't left her side for the last several weeks, (too many of us know what that's like), so she is, as you can imagine, pretty worn out. The funeral is on Tuesday so I know that keeping her in your thoughts and prayers will mean a lot to her. I had the privledge of knowing Virginia and she will leave a large, hard to fill, hole in the lives of all of who knew her. At 89 she was still driving, working in her garden, cooking, doing her own cleaning (more than I can say for myself!) and was full of the joy of life with a delightful sense of humour. Sweet dreams, Ginny |

Lynda will, of course, want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts when she is able to sit down and read the boards. In the mean time, please excuse the delete. I didn't say quite what I meant to say. What I wanted to convey was Lynda's hope that all of us would take Ginny's death as a reminder to send your love, in whatever form, to your Mom, or to whomever you cherish, because our time with our loved ones is never long enough to say all the things we might one day wish we had said. |
