If you missed hearing the US Army Band and Chorus welcome Pope Benedict XVI at the White House Rose Garden ceremony on 15 April, get a load of these high school kids.  At the conclusion listen to the high notes on the trumpet . . . played by a high school kid! One of the fathers recorded it, added some graphic enhancements to the recording, and posted it on the web.  The song, of course, is the "Battle Hymn Of The Republic."  Be prepared . . . it will definitley send a few shivers up your spine.  Just sit back and enjoy.

You may want to press the "F11" key OR your maximize icon after the performance starts, to get a full-screen effect. Now, click below!

That was awesome, Catie. I love the 1st verse being just the elementary children's voices. Then the strength of the stronger and deeper voices intensify the music with the four high school chorus.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow, that takes your breath away. It's hard to believe it an elementary chorus and four high school choruses. I'm forwarding it to several people, so they can make it part of their Memorial Day too. Thanks for sharing it with us.
